    I have a noise I'm not familiar with while in 3rd gear. When letting off of the throttle in 3rd gear you can hear a distinct noise that lasts for about 1 second. In the video the noise is roughly at 0:03, 0:06, 0:09, and 0:12. The 0:12 is perhaps the most noticeable in this recording. This is at fairly low speeds in manual mode.

    Any thoughts?

    my gearbox has just started doing this as well when engine braking in third or second gear. Mine is a much shorter duration, but basically the same sound. It will do it in manual or automatic mode, but it is easier to replicate in manual mode, of course.
    it does not make the noise when the car is early in the drive cycle. It only does it after the gearbox has been warm for a while.

    i’m hoping a fluid change will solve the problem, but I hope someone here knows what it is exactly. I was guessing maybe the clutch packs slipping

    Definitely have it checked, it's not normal and could be the beginning of a problem....
