Possibly looking to trade my Porto for an M. I’m curious about the exhaust note going from non GPF to GPF in the M. My 2019 sounds amazing . It’s about 100k delta, is it worth it ? Thank you in advance.

My wife's Portofino M sets off car alarms in the office underground parking garage.

The other day my Tubi exhaust on my ‘20 Portofino set off my BMW M8 Gran Coupe’s alarm on cold start. I was annoyed and proud at the same time.

Resurrecting this thread. I'm looking at trading my 2019 Portofino for a very well option 2022 M this week. Just wondering if anyone has made the move, and if so, did you feel the improvements were worth the extra 100k or so it costs to move to a Porto M. TIA

I just made the move. Bought a 4800 mile 344k Porto M 2022. The ride and exhaust note are just amazing. Funny thing is it was exactly 100k plus my car. I did negotiate a two year bumper to bumper warranty for 10k additionally.

So yes I would do it again happily. Post pics. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Cigarzman, thanks for the reply! I'm glad you're happy with your decision. You validated my impression of the car as I do think the M version drives a bit better and seems tighter overall. The sound, even with GPF's, is still great to my ears. The M I'm looking at actually had sticker of $384K. Basically, every option you could want including every CF option. I drive my car a good bit so in addition to the improvements the M brings I also wanted a car with back radar and surround view which in 2019 was not available. My only issue is the color is Rosso Scuderia which is very bright and almost looks orange, and I tend to like more subdued colors, so I haven't made a final decision yet, Talk about a first world problem:)
