Yep
Just came across this thread. Yup, that was me. Sold the car last year. One of the reasons @ross alluded to was Haris was funding a chunk of his retirement on my car Bought a manual converted Challenge Stradale to take its place.
That was sad, there are a couple of reasonably priced shops around that might have saved you some pain. So now that you have had the CS awhile, how does it compare to the Diablo? And the FGT?
I don't blame Haris. All Diablo's have issues. Period. Some worse than others. Mine had typical 90's wiring/electronics cobbled together by an Italian 6 vinos in on his lunch break, leaky Koni's, failed fuel pressure regulator among other things. Nothing was catastrophic (fortunately), but the constant "what's going to break today" feeling was getting very tiresome. And I wasn't about to foot the bill for an engine out that all these cars will eventually need. It was a stunner, pretty fun to drive, but the mounting costs of ownership were just killing the enjoyment. CS is quite different. Definitely more 'sporting', more agile, and certainly feels faster despite the 4 cylinder disadvantage. Sound is subjective, but I prefer the sound of the Ferrari's V8 to the Bizzarini V12 (a Murci would be a different story). Aesthetics clearly go to the Lambo. The early/mid 2000's was a clear turning point in automotive performance and reliability. While peak design may have been in the 80's and 90's, I'd rather have a car that I can get in and drive vs one that always needs something fixed.
