This car is bonkers. I know it will never have the panache of a Ferrari or the exclusivity, but if Ferrari put this engine in one of their cars (SF90 replacement for example), we’d all lose our collective minds gushing over how significant an achievement it is. Warning, the driver in this video is a complete idiot…doing donuts on an open road FFS…smh.

Dealer called with an available allocation but with a $50k ADM. I passed on it because the track package is on constraint.

 

I would've passed just because of the ADM.

 

Well, they called back today and lowered the ADM to a manageable level so I went ahead and ordered a HTC non-track option car. Speculating 8 - 10 weeks.

 

Very cool! I'll be very interested to hear what think of the car.

Only thing keeping me away from the HTC is the loss of the rear split window.

Should I try to get into one of these and leave my beloved '23 Cielo?

Last year I left my '23 Z06 for the Cielo.

 

Wait 12 months and you can get one for MSRP.

 

Are carbon wheels constrained?

 

No. Only Alcon brakes and the sunroof. No brakes means no ZTK though. CF wheels are available.

Any progress on your allocation?

 

Stuck at 3000. They are building 6 - 10 per day but no one knows how many were allocated last month so I am planning on end of November. Next big step will be getting my production week scheduled (status 3400).

as much fun as they say the gtd is, that weight is just insane on consumables if going to track it like they are. no matter how much money you have, no one wants to spend $5k on brakes and tires every weekend track day. cannot wait to see what porsche comes up with next gt2 having extra 300hp over this one. nothing will touch it.

 

GT2RS will be made out of pure “unobtanium.”

Anyone that wants one without an allocation from their dealer will need to pony-up 7 figures.

Car with be approaching $750K even with an allocation from their Porsche AG after the dealer gets ahold of you with their ADM.

That will make the GT2RS five times the price of a ZR1.

Porsche has absolutely lost their way.

 

Biggest complaint of zr is brakes and it's a 25 not a 26 that has new upgraded alcon monster brakes. Not fair test and they don't even mention it.

Another aspect they ignored is zr was only car driven with systems left on and 26 has big upgrade on that. Weird didn't mention any of that
