This alone should keep driving up the price of a very similar car, the Diablo Roadster: A Lamborghini Diablo Roadster versus a Ferrari F50: In period (mid-late 90s) - check Mid engine V-12 - check Factory gated manual - check Targa top - check Comparable HP - check (Ferrari 513, Diablo 530) Great swoopy styling - check Rear wing - check Production - F50 (349), Diablo Roadster (475) At 15X less expensive, the Diablo Roadster is one of the last great bargains out there
Wow! I almost lost my breath for a second. I thought that was the nip/tuck SV for a second til I saw the lights, which is my favorite non-6.0 Diablo...would be my favorite if Kimber included lol. I was last in Palm Springs in early 2024 for a tennis tournament (Indian Wells). I love that place...everything there was nice and the cars around town amazing. Image Unavailable, Please Login
love the 99 sv best sv made imo ,99 was a very limited made for example only approx 34 coupes . and just a few sv and roadsters, thats an amazing color i have a 99 monterey blue vt
6.0 is great but after 3 years of owning and driving the duo back to back the SV is more fun to drive imho - steering feel is better due to RWS, it's more raw and the looks are just iconic. I Sold the 6.0 - great car but I always grabbed the keys to the SV. I had a phenomenal exhaust setup on it and really enjoyed the 6.0 - the power difference is noticeable but ultimately wanted to switch up the garage as it wasn't getting much use. In the pic of the blue SV I posted, it has black ground effects body front lip and side skirts. Lambo of Dallas says the car they sold was that one, but it doesn't have it. I have never seen an SV with those black ground effects pieces. Is it aftermarket? https://www.lamborghinidallas.com/wholesale-used/Lamborghini/1999-Lamborghini-Diablo-SV-for-sale-Dallas-2b81d6350a0a0002523e8c39cb62e993.htm ZA9DU21B2XLA12234 Edit: Front amber lights even different. They are orange outer half and clear inner half on Lambo Dallas website and opposite in the tv show and don't looked recessed on the TV show...not the same at all. And no windshield wipers I can see...
Very cool! Is the 6.0 in “high” mode? It’s ground clearance is huge vs the SV in that photo I think it’s aftermarket; I’ve never seen factory far with that. The TV car had the lenses installed backwards; it’s supposed to be orange outside per US law at least. The ‘depth’ is an optical illusion due to the lighting. I wonder if it they did all three for the TV/scene. Not unheard of is director is detail oriented and persnickety.
