Meanwhile, Red Bull is destroyed by Racing Bulls... it's like RB tries to be more embarassing than Ferrari.

Lando's McLaren is well ahead of the field. It's the best car on the straights and in the corners. Pole is no surprise.

Ferrari went from a garbage can to getting P3 for Leclerc. Hamilton another disappointing quali.

Bearman was the star of the day until he and/or the car just didn't have it in Q3. Pity.

Red Bull drop to the worst car in an afternoon. Unbelievable. Days like to day it's detrimental not having a 2nd driver that can provide value to the team's performance. Yuki has no input on the tires or setup that will be helpful to Verstappen.

I think most of the strange variety in performance is down to the tires. I think Pirelli's operating window is so narrow that the tire can work or not work not only from lap to lap, but from sector to sector. It doesn't look anyone has an answer to it.

Of course it was also windy today and I'm certain that could affect all the drivers corner to corner.

No rain tomorrow given the forecast. He, Lando needs a clean start so the others can tangle and he can drive away at +1sec by lap 2 gap to whoever is P2. Id like to see Charles make a jump and from P3 take the lead of course, turn 1 is tight so we shall see. If no real change Lando has the pace in hand it appears. I dont see Oscar with the pace to challenge at all via P4.

The positive side is that with Red Bull in trouble, Ferrari may finally secure the third place in the constructor's championship... Ferrari has been so bad in F1 recently that we're ready to acclaim that as a great result.

    Well, Yuki did beat Bortoleto…
One of the more interesting starting grids this year. Forza Ferrari!

With a Ferrari engine, Ollie was ahead of SF for awhile. Good for Ollie. I was hoping he would be closer to LEC at the end of Q3. Graphic seemed to show BEA faster in the 'turns' than PIA(.... in Q3, I think.) If no rain, WDC is Lando's to lose.

Bearman/Haas was a nice side show, but actually it reveals nobody knows what they are doing out there. The drivers get in their cars and can only hope they are lucky and the sim setup works. We might as well have the drivers draw straws to see what cars they'll drive each weekend. The pinnacle of motorsports is now the lottery of motosports. Qualifying was much more interesting and exciting when it was Michael vs Mika and the teams put hand gernade qualifying engines in the cars.

Lando will run away with the race pending any disasters at the start.

    Piastri is done.

    Leclerc is wheeling that thing.

    Hamilton is nowhere.

RB really let Max down; that sucks. Wonder what they got so wrong, or if something was failing on the car...
