    Thoughts on this sign I found at a local antique shop? They have it advertised as a 70s dealer sign. It’s quite large, approx 7’x4’ on aluminum? and it looks to be a combo of hand and stenciled painted. It’s definitely older, but the logo looks off to me. The horses ear as a teardrop, the eye shape, etc. Any input on whether it’s authentic, or just something cool someone made? Thanks!

    in the 70s there was no alloy
    they used steel, enamelled

    A genuine sign would have been made to be weather proof, hence enameled steel. Highly doubt that to be original.

    Its nice though. Look good on a garage wall.

    Also, F didn't use that font until the 2000's.

    It's on the 458 engine lid, not on the 430.
