Yep, really solid. But…I’m still very angry at him for his significant contribution to punting Leclerc out of the race.
@TopspeedPT Well, from the pitlane to P3.....and that's because Max had a puncture which was a extra pit. Not bad no?
Couldn’t be any worse! Of course no one can say with next year being a complete restart. At the very minimum Ferrari needs to clean house. This year has been such an eye opening embarrassment they need to start from scratch down to every single person and detail. I wouldn’t even keep the hospitality napkins! Unfortunately though Ferrari can’t get out of their own way. Their arrogance and lack of self evaluation holds them back. There is no reason they should be losing like this given their resources. Lol, anyone who has ever dealt with the factory can understand though. Charles ruined his career by staying with them and now he has no where to go. Lewis was nothing but a marketing move and a complete disaster. Worse, it is shortsighted and doesn’t build for the future. At least Ollie is young and upcoming. Still a gamble but more upside than an aging, primadonna whose best days are far behind him.
The issue is he would not or was not considering it due to his dream to win with Ferrari, if there was one????
Can't believe the total deflation of Oscar Piastri. He seemed so much more in control of himself than Lando ever did. Lewis should quit F1 after this season. He is not worthy of F1 let alone Ferrari F1.
Its all about performance and growth. Kimi is sending a nice signal to Russell and Toto has to be pleased.
The stories of the weekend were Max and Kimi. The incident that took out Leclerc was a gift from the gods, it saved him the embarrassment of finishing in the bottom five or six. Same with Lewis. Ferrari brought nothing with them this week...or for the whole season.
Well, the car has just been garbage this year, simple as that. There's no mystery to it. The team put in the best pitstops out there, and the strategy has actually been pretty on point. But you can only do so many things with a car that just doesn't have winning pace. Leclerc has race wins left in him, but he's not going to be a champion unless next year Ferrari really hit the lottery with the new regulations. Hamilton needs to just retire - it's sad to watch him like this. Ferrari try to buy champions to fix their problems, instead of investing in new young talent to help develop the team. Alonso, Vettel, and Hamilton didn't work out. Leclerc is a charger, but he's still prone to pushing a car beyond its limits. If I was running Ferrari. 1. Keep the race operations crew. They've changed. Best pit stops and respectable strategy. 2. Fire Hamilton. Replace with him Bearman. Get Leonardo Fornaroli under contract, and get him ready to replace Leclerc in a year or two. 3. Keep the engine department. They do a good job. 4. Outsource chassis and aero design to Dallara. I think Dallara have proven they can build fantastic chassis, and Ferrari have a good relaitonship with them already. 5. Lock John Elkann in a portable toilet. Of course, because these things make sense, they won't happen.
Rather good day for Powered by Honda given that Max started the race in Argentina, P3, 7, 8 and 17 for Yuki the crash causer Unfortunate that Ferrari had a pair of DNFs today, Charles getting the short end of things having been crashed into
good IN CAR i watched MAX and his inputs from GP today, if only no puncture, but he accepted it as racing in the post interview, the only bummer w in car if you push twice you get the sound of team Bwit on skyspew! Max totally sprayed with debris, if only.... he had heard the puncture during the SC...
IMO even if he did he wouldn't have left. Charles full on drank the Kool Aid of being a Ferrari WDC. Can't say I blame but in retrospect it was a crucial career mistake.
At this point how dare Ferrari even call itself an F1 team any longer. What a complete and total embarrassment. Max is a 1 man team in a car that on average is on par with Ferrari. Winning races, podiums, impossible challenges, STILL in the hunt for the title (albeit extremely slim at this point). We keep making fun of Red Bull being a drinks company but Ferrari has turned into a t shirt manufacturer.
Now that Max has a new PU plus all new components, he's definitely gonna fight. Las Vegas looks quite possible for a Max win. However, Qatar(Sprint) and Abu Dhabi are Mclaren territory.
in car: when Max was lining up lil lewee, lewee was wobbling back in forth with instability- not sure if it was him or the car.
