Without Ferrari blessing this is a very simple case of counterfeit product and stolen intellectual property. I'm sorry for those that can't see this. I'm not saying this with any chip on my shoulder as I have no financial stake in the outcome like some others do.

If you want carbon sport seats you really have 2 legal options; source a genuine set, or buy a high quality aftermarket set (like Sparco EVO Carbon, OMP, etc) and be proud of what you have. But don't fund a counterfeit operation, that's not a good way to maintain the value of the Ferrari brand

The best solution would be to buy these seats without any Trademarks to avoid the “counterfeit” issue. These would be considered after-market, but I’m sure everyone who placed an order already knew that.

Someone in Europe re-produced the pre-airbag steering wheel. Looks 97% identical. No trademarks. Steering wheel can be purchased without the horn button (which has a Cavallino). Sold as an after-market part.

As posted on their website, they have stopped any marketing, including FerrariChat. I have no details beyond that. Senshi458 is still free to post.

Are they original to the car? You can easily check the weave right there.

Yep, it's listed as an option. I guess they could also have been recovered at some point.

Pic? I’ve never seen non-Cavallino’d seats outside of the very early samples I mentioned.

Hopefully this can be sorted out. I was waiting for some other projects to complete and next up was to order a set for my car... I was going to be the PITA customer that made Reza install seat heating elements in the seats ;)

I would probably still order a set if the Cavllino was not embossed, if that was enough to save the project.

there has to be more to the story.

everyone knows you don't use the Cavallino Rampante without permission. wasn't this a Maranello shop that had a relationship with Ferrari? maybe they thought it was good?

Exactly/ Might not even be Ferrari but the OEM seat manufacture. Reza still missing in action.

TiR, original manufacturer of these seats has been defunct for 2 decades.

The seats are not manufactured by Ferrari, but by a subcontractor that no longer exists. Therefore, it is the subcontractor, and not Ferrari, that could be harmed.
Zanasi is closely linked to Ferrari; every time he paints a Scudetto on a car, he doesn't ask Ferrari for permission.
Aside from the use of the Prancing Horse on the headrest, I don't see where the problem might be.

I can't tell you the law in Italy (or where ever) but I can tell you from experience as a partner in a closed small business that just because the business shut down doesn't mean the owners don't retain certain rights. But without further information from Reza everything here is pure peculation.
