According to the following link: http://www.ferrariclub.com/msrp/ In 1984, the MSRP for the 288 GTO was $83,400 (according to Road & Track magazine). Now they're a steal at $300,000
Neat website. It's interesting to see that even inflation adjusted how much 8cyl and 12cyl Ferrari's have gone up in price. http://www.westegg.com/inflation/ 1985 308 GTB QV $55,170 (adjusted for 2002)= $91,723 1985 Testarossa $87,000 (adjusted for 2002)= $144,642 Ferrari is basically charging 74% more for their current 8cyl(360) and 52% more for the 12cyl(575) than they did in 1985.
That's crazy, but I'm sure a more important factor has been the increase in number of "wealthy" Americans - the demand drives up the prices, especially with a production cap.
Wow, How about a '78 308 $41,000 = 2002 $117,000. I damn near stole the car!! That's a fun little website!!
Did Ferrari make the 328 in 1990 or had they already changed to the 348 by 1990? Link shows a 1990 328 MSRP.
Now that I look, I am not sure!! Originally I thought that only the first price is factory MSRP...the rest are open market prices.
