Nice pictures and a FUN day!

Thank you everyone who came, we sure had a good turnout. 8 Ferraris were tested and about 22 people came to the lunch at Azteca.

For the fourth year in a row we have lucked out with the weather being good for this event.

Gary, do you have Caleb's email address? Please email me if you have it. I have a couple of large size pictures of him on the dyno.

Looks like a terrific time! Great numbers - assume all SAE.
Any graphs with AF numbers to see?

    Hi Russ,
Here is my HP and A/F graph. The graph shows almost 14.5 in two places and I was told that is too lean, 13.5 being ideal, that I could get a few more horses out of it if I with bigger jets. I don't know why it says Max A/F 17.5 at the top of the graph. It doesn't show that on the graph itself.

Don't know what you are running now, but would go up 5 - 10 (e.g. 130 - 135 or 140)on your jet main size; Do not think you will need to change A/C, but wouldn't hurt to decrease A/C size by 10 (e.g. 210 to 200) to cover the high end.

Of course, we could just go to 34mm venturis and re-jet the whole thing. :)

If you have the parts should take about an hour or so to do.

I haven't touched the carbs since I bought the car but I know I need to get into them after looking down the throats of two of them and seeing shrunken gasket material sticking into the venturis.

Where is a good source for jets?

DJ, I had stock jetting, and just increased the mains from 125 to 140. I would agree with RT, it may be preferrable to go to a 135 instead, and decrease the AC jet too. I forget what the stock AC jet is on a 78/79, but it is in your owner's manual. The dyno shop tested at 130, 135 and settled on a 140 as about ideal. It was still slightly lean, but they were afraid a 145 would be too much. That is where the AC jet testing should have started....

Do understand that my may need to go up one heat range on the plugs to prevent fouling. Something equivalent to a NGK "5". But I would wait and see on that.

Not sure if it's a typo or not but the torque figures for Gary's Boxer are quite impressive for the number of horses. Traditionally torque figures are lower than HP figures at Max.

Also note the torque figures for Caleb's car.
