what do you guys think are must have options for the 360 spider? in what colour, interior and exterior, etc f1 or standard.. Also, which do you guys prefer, coupe or spider?

Must have? Challenge grill, ELECTRIC Daytona seats, Shields. Maybe modular wheels. I don't like the leather headliner (I don't know what it's called on the spider but it's behind the seats) and I would never use the stereo.
a spider with the top down looks nice, but when the top is closed, I think it looks ugly. Coupe will always look good. That's just my opinion. my dad just ordered a 360 spider, rosso corsa/ beige black top, black calipers, challenge rear grill, side shields, and possibly tubi and F1 gear shifts, also dedication plates... anything that he should add? maybe the modular wheels, red calipers( would that be too much red?) etc?

Seats: Daytona Yes, but power is a total waste, set it once and leave it in position, saves $2500. Same levels of adjustment. Shields, and Extended Leather is good. Contrast stictching is very nice. HI FI is worth it despite all the so called lovers of tail pipe only sounds. Get a spare tire, it does come with one. Unless it will be a museum car which most are. Challenge grills can be added at any time later if you miss them. Modular wheels are very nice in person. Red Brakes are good.
I haven't done any research personally, but I recall a thread here a few months ago where several listers said they were told by dealers that not having power seats can have a severe impact on resale value. You might do a search for the topic and decide for yourself. Gary
I had one 360 with power seats, one 360 with out power seats, the one with power seats had the power lumbar control rod end break, although under warranty, it was down 30 days at the dealer, so factor in one car payment waiting for power seat parts as well. Both had Daytona style, definitely worth it even at $1200+ per seat.
Mine would be a TDF blue Modena with bordeau interior, leather racing seats, Stradale/Challenge/BBS wheels, no sheilds, challenge grills, Stradale brakes if possible, Capristro exhaust... that should take car of it.
Rear challenge grills. Searching the old FerrariChat archives should locate some data about decreased engine compartment temperatures with the challenge grill. Especially in the the spider this is a must. If you don't like the black, you can always have it painted body color. Front challenge grills help protect the radiator and a/c from rock strikes. Everything else is personal preference.
There are a couple of options that are an absolute must. #1 Daytona seats-if you have ever seen a new 360 without daytona, it looks very, very plain. #2 Tubi exhaust-adds such a sound, not to mention retail value #3 Shields-signature ferrari #4 Stitching-depends, i have a yellow exterior, so with black leather, yellow stitching looks awesome, but piping is very tacky. A stitching I would not do is the red exterior with black leather with red stiches, looks bad. #5 F1-depends on personal, but 70% sold with F1 #6 Challenge grills- On my yellow, I liked the look of pure yellow in the back, same goes with red. But on a silver exterior, challenge looks good in the rear, so once again depends. #7-Hi-Fi-you do need it with the top down, but if I did it again I would put in an aftermarket that is 10 times better but same price. #8 Power seats- resale value, and why save 2g? #9 K40- I love it, but the dealer rips you off at 3g, but its nice. #1 after all of this, get the SPIDER. Spider for sure, with the following options: F1 or 6-speed (no wrong choice, both are great) Daytona seats Electric seats (yes, they are expensive, but get them) Full leather interior (includes side sills & back wall) Deviated stitching (to match exterior) Scuderia shields Front challenge grill Painted calipers (pick color that best matches your exterior) CD changer Hi-fi stereo (upgraded stereo system, standard system sucks) Tubi or Capristo exhaust (stock exhaust sounds like a sewing machine) And, if the 360 was the car that I absolutely wanted above any other car, I would seriously look at some of the Imola mods, but see if you can get them cheaper than advertised. MSRP on those mods are stupidly expensive.
Everybody has different tastes & opinions on options. Personally, I love front & rear challenge grilles, but there are many on this board that dislike them. F1 and 6sp are both awesome. In the end, go with what you like the best. Whatever catches your eye and makes you saw "WOW" over & above the car itself already doing that.
Reading comments from other listers before me, it's obvious that tastes vary quite a bit, and in the end you're going to have to decide for yourself. My strong preference is coupe over spider for lighter weight and increased stiffness. I also much prefer 6 spd to F1. I don't like the Daytona seat, for some reason my backside is sensitive to that center seam. I find the stock seats very nice. Capristo exhaust is a big plus. Couldn't care less about the hi-fi options, personally. Good luck, you really can't go too wrong. Gary

I have just about every option mentioned in these posts, except a spare wheel. Got a can of $200 Italian puncture seal which I promptly put in storage and replaced with good old American sealer for $20. Where would a spare wheel fit anyway? Definitely not in the front trunk-no room. Does anyone actually have a real spare wheel? Where does it go?
Hey, thanks for the input guys. Just ordered the spider 2 days ago, with the following options: rossa corsa on beige, personal nameplates rear challenge grill f1 side shields some extra leather stuff on the interior and red calipers... might get the tubi fitted when it arrives. The dealer didnt know, but does anyone know how long it will actually take for the car to arrive after you pick the options and give the deposit, etc?
