Good morning, Does anyone have a lead to where I can procure a high quality 512TR car cover (other than ebay)?
I got a cover from carcovers.com. It was reasonably priced and the quality was much better than I thought. I thought that for the $$ I would just get a standard cotton cover. But nooooo It is a great thick cover that is almost canvas on the outside. The inside is a soft supple flannel. The fit is extremly tight and the sides go almost to the ground. It was just a lucky hit on the internet but it was a great find. Mine was for a 328, and I had it within a week of ordering.
I got mine from Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories. I am sure that Italiancarparts.com has one too. Jim
TomF-1, Not sure what your budget is, but Ferraripartsexchange.com has factory original covers for $590 (red, fit exact, logos). Jim
http://www.calcarcover.com They have a wide variety of custom and "semi custom" car covers. I've bought a couple from them, and they were very nice fits. california car covers
Thanks, Jim. This is exactly what I was looking for; however, I believe these folks have filed for bankruptcy as of late.....I will follow up though. Thanks.
Tom, You can get a factory original car cover from the Ferrari owner's site. Here is the address: http://www.owners.ferrari.com/ They are around 240.00 euro and it takes about a month to get it. With shipping, I think mine came out to around $350.00. A little pricey but they are nice...horse on front and back. Regards, Rob.
I have purchased 3 from them. All good quality and fit, even a custom one for a car never imported into the US, even by the grey market.
Remember that the factory cover really only works indoors as a dust cover. If you need protection from the weather/sun you'll need to get something heavier.
TomF-1 Check this car cover out on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42606&item=2464465075 This is like mine. Very soft, flanel inside, dust / UV/ moisture protection (use in gararge only). Ebay place your bid at literally the last few second. Good luck, Jim
