    Keep stock.

If you go aftermarket get BBS LM or HRE.

I say keep stock, looks stunningly beautiful.

I'm typically a stock rim person but the second rim looks alot better i think.Shows off the calipers better as well.Of course they would have to be kept cleaner as well. It's always something isn't it.:)

Usually I'm a stock person too, but in this case I'd definately go with something aftermarket. Personally I'd go with another style of aftermarket rim, but that's not an option in the poll. ;)
    Great car though!

I love the Radial Spoke 50s, where are you buying them from? I would like to see if I can find a set and adapt them to my 82 633CSi..:)

I *really* dislike the regular stock rims. The thick 5-spoke M wheels that I see on other E36 M3's look better. The ones you have the picture of are fine, but not my favorite BMW wheel either. My favorites are the BBS Racing wheels (eg. RGR, RC, etc) series, but it also has the Challenge series wheels on TireRack.com for your M3. (For some reason the picture mgmt window won't popup on this computer I'm using, I'll put the link)

The BBS RGR's are wheel #16:

Those are my favorite stock wheels for the M3 also. However, given your choice, I'd say get the 50s.

I already have the wheels, I had them on my old 325is. I don't care enough to go buy aftermarket wheels.

If you no aftermarket, I say keep your stock ones.

If you want change, get some 1999 M3 wheels. Those are nice too.

Have you looked at 17" Kosei K1? I know of an F chatter that has them on his M3. Light weight & they look great, makes a great track rim.

As a Fellow E36 M3 owner those Radial Spoke 50 wheels suck.
BBS, IForged, MVR MAGS are great wheels to chose from. I'm into performance based mods for my car and I have a set of 19" BBS CH which have a great style and are still light weight. I Autox on my stock ten spokes but the 19" are great for crusing. The BBS CH wheels are used on the 360 Challenge which is the reason I got them.

IMO those wheels you have choose look cheap. When I choose my wheels I wanted some that matched the quality, the class, and the preformance of the E36 M3. I think you missed these when choosing this wheel.

Does anybody have a pic of the stock wheel on the current M3? I just got one a couple weeks ago (2004), and think the wheels look fine. (I didn't opt for the bigger wheel, since the roads in the NYC area are pretty nasty and i use the car as a commuter).

Bill, good thing. Those 19" wheels that they offer as options aren't the best for anything other than track use. Every one I've seen on an M3 with more than 500 miles has some kind of curb rash on it. I asked the salesman at the dealership about it and he just said, "Oh yeah, they get scraped up a lot," and proceeded to tell me about one of his clients that had to bring his car back 3 times because he kept damaging the 19's. You'd think he would learn his lesson after the first time.

I for one think that the newer BMW M3 rims are quite nice looking. I planing to get a set for my mother in laws 3 series (we bought it for her, nice guy eh?), If I still had my old e 36 m3 I would have done the upgrade as well.

Not sure if the E46 wheels will look good on the E36.

Given the choice - stick with stock. I'd suggest taking a look at BBS CH or LM wheels instead.

FYI - I've got a 03 with 19 inch wheels and don't have any curb rash yet (15k miles, no need to parallel park - which I think makes a difference).
