I watched a commercial for this new show last night. It looks like the show goes into poor, trailer-trash hoods and gets peoples POS cars to pimp them out. Just when I thought William Hung on American Idol was the paramount of toilet TV, this show comes along. What's next, 1) Pimp Yo Mamma, 2) Lets burn some schools, 3) Monster Meth Lab, 4) Martha Stewarts Sex Toys Live, 5) Extreme Makeover: You too can be a pimp, 6) Naked Hollywood Squares....When will America's hunger for trash TV come to an end?

I watched a monster house makeover sunday night and they did the house of course, but rather than give the family a new car they fixed up thier old cutlass supreme. It was a mexican family and they painted the car metallic blue with yellow stripes. Interior was bright blue with yellow rally stripe down middle of seats. How ghetto is that?! Brand new beautiful house with a hooptie in the garage.

peters... I actually watched that show the other night. They took a Daihatsu HiJet on its last leg and added abt $20K worth of mods to it @ West Coast Customs in LA. The funniest part was that Red Enzo (frm the SEMA show with bling bling wheels) was sitting in the shop all the time they were working on that POS. I was watching very closely and noticed one side of the Enzo had black centered rims, while the other side wore silver centers.

I saw a show where West Coast Customs was fitting the Enzo with those wheels. Their wheels don't fit the spline drive lock lug wheels so they were going to fabricate an adapter between the wheel and hub. How sad is that! Take a street version F1 car and do a chop job to get some nasty wheels to fit on it. Those wheels look terrible on the Enzo so the end result is not even fun to look at.

I saw the show with the Hijet also. They sure did keep panning the camera back to the Enzo to show that they had it in there shop. I don't like the wheels either. I can't believe the owner is letting it sit there with those rims. I'd still drive the car for sure but the stock ones look so much better in my opinion.

Yeah me too Chris... I especially enjoyed seeing the mechanics faces when X stepped out of the Caddy holding that rear chrome fender extension/tail lamp bezel with duct duct hanging from it. Classic!

My guess is they hook it up with 24K gold Dayton spokes and Vogue tires in true piiimp style.

Haha thats what I was thinking too.

It's like a train wreck you know, no matter how horrible it is you still wanna look to see what kind of disgusting stuff may emerge. Good for a laugh at least. :)

One show I miss from recent memory on MTV is that Snoop Dogg show. I thought that was pretty funny.

Yeah they went too far! You can't see it in the pic but they put a "smell fresh" tree around my mirror? Can you believe that? Who likes the 20 inch rims? Now if I can get it to start, I 'll be set.

    Ok
I watched this fetid pile of rotting cabbage last night

I have never in my life come so close to putting my fist through a TV screen as i did watching these "Genius" tuners do a car.

    What the hell

Is it too much to ask for a REAL enthusiast show?

Something that is at least close to being watch-able?

I haven't seen the show, but in Autoweek they talked of how this girl and her grandmom were driving an old Honda.

They pimped it out and she really was appreciative!
It was interesting to see the imagination they used. They tricked her with those bass cannons looking like nitrous. This poor girl was like "Oh, my God, what's THAT!" He he he.

Grandmom's seat had a massager! Ya'll stop hatin' on 'em! LOL

That said, if they get near my car, I'll open fire.

i think it is one of the funniest shows around

did anyone see the Honda(i think) with a fishtank in the back?!!!

now how can you not laugh at a fishtank in the back of a car???

the same car also had an 8-track player, sued and all sorts of crazy crap

and admit it, if you had some junker like thoses people did you would be very happy at whatever Mtv or the show did... i would

They stole the fishtank idea from a well known stereo install from about 5-10 years ago. I forget his name but he was the first one to do that and he did it very well not just 2 little goldfish. David "Fishman" Rivera was his name.
