Ebay changed my email randomly without my permission

    I just got an email telling me that my Ebay email had been changed. to a different address @tulipsmail.net

    I did not make this request. Do you think someone hacked my login or something?

    Ebay will never change any of your personal details (e-mail address or otherwise) unless you ask them to. As to if you have been hacked:

    1) If you access ebay through an AOL account: definately

    2) If you access ebay through some other provider: most likely.

    Time to log in to your account, change your password, & send a note to ebay that the e-mail change was not authorized.


    p.s.: I DO hope you don't have any further problems.

    Thanks, good idea. I got an email that said: "Thank you for submitting your change of e-mail address request. Instructions on completing the change have been sent to your new email address. Once the process is completed, your eBay-related email will no longer be routed to this email address."

    And I didn't submit anything... So, I'll change my password immediately and let them know.

    Thanks - I also decided to change my email back, but this time to a Hotmail one for more anonymity in case someone has my password or something.

    Edit: Actually, they want a credit card for me to use Hotmail. GRRR., guess I'll go back to my original email....

    Change your username & password or just close it.
