Wolfgang, there is no problem with your English and I understand fully your question and concern.I do not think there would be any problem "scrapping" your car(or others)the Zeebrugge-rosyth ferry had very little (if any) rise from the land to the ship and the reverse. The link for the ferry is below

Wolfie, that is the sidewalk at the side of the ramp, you are not expected to drive your car over that! if you look at the truck you will see there is very small angle.

I hear what you guys are saying and I have spoken with Dave in the past over things but my 355 was kinda rubbing when I came off the ferry to spain, but it wasn't too bad, maybe a bit of soft faom taped to the bumper would help if it's lower than you think, but you shouldn't have a problem getting on and off as they have alot of traffic like us.

I think Scotland is a great place for a FE(uropean)meet, and would like to open it up to the southerners too, as they really don't know what they are missing only 400miles away, I took my car upto Mull of Kintyre like the song yeah, and it was awesome, raced an old silver James Bond Aston on the road there as there was a big Claasic car meet near there but what a great road.

One to maybe think about, and Loch Ness aparently thats a great windy road but not sure what condiotn it';s in but seen a driving editor review it and he loved it for a Z3 test a few years back. Will try and dig it out on th net somewhere.

Dave mailed you about the Auto Italia day in Scotland. Will bring the 360 along.

Paul, have replied to you ref. this coming Saturday at Knockhill.Going on from Pauls comments especially our Southern Bretheren it would certainly be nice to see them up In Scotland this Summer and Then the European Boys next year,as Paul said there is some wonderful driving and spectacular Scenery and the Loch Ness area is by far my favourite and will in fact be going there first week of April. The road conditions are very good and are in good condition but obviously in the summer it is very busy with tourists, the best road for F-cars is the one on the West side of the Loch the East side though far more scenic is really not good enough for our cars the roads are very narrow and can drop/rise very quickly and I think a "bottoming"issue is more than likely, this a real pity because it is not so much "Touristy" on that side and the village and views of the Loch are fantastic.
    All the best

    Dave...

Imagine a fleet of F-cars driving up the A82 early one morning, past Loch Lomond/trossachs, up through tyndrum, past the snow gates, through the Glen Coe valley, along past Loch Linnhe, into Fort William for lunch!, then the final drive along Loch Ness & into Inverness!!! Its would be a pretty cool drive

    All the best

    McRod,

Sounds very cool. I hadn't planned any specific routes yet. The drive between Fort William and Aviemore is a bit special, and A82 idea sounds McSplendid.

Used the same ferry when we picked the car up from Singen. Was fine, but nervy..people park VERY close together, and also I got a sh*tload of sand and crap in the engine bay and all over the car (It was minging weather and blowing from the 'beach'.

No scrapes though..I reserve them for petrol stations, road bumps, kerbs, etc etc etc etc etc.

I think I know the road your referring to, Fort William to Avie... it's slightly off the beaten track & the drive is quite breasthtaking as your surrouned by Hills & Mountains.. ie very close!!!

I do believe that a lot of miles could be racked up on this tour!!!!

As I'm writing I'm getting all uptight about this visit as I would really like to see a good host of F-cars in Scotland, maybe a Scottish sponsor like Highland Spring or a whiskey company for example could give us some money and provide a bit more of a tour out of it, inturn maybe we could raise some money for a charity of our choice as people would quite easily pay for a ride in a F-car or even just to see then on display, so it would be nice to maybe organise this sort of thing with this in mind too, and not just for our pleasure but for the pleasure of enthusiasts alike and sick or disable people or something.....something to think about.

    Wow,

How is it possible that I only see this thread today for the first time?
Great! We have active support from Scotland! Matkat and Rod, thanks for all the effort so far. Please help the poor blokes from London. I am already very happy to see that one of these blokes actually found his way to Scotland. :)

    Is there already a date?
