It is on ebay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=6212&item=2465869760&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT Couple things I can't figure out : 1) Mileage looks wrong 2) Auction says shields, but I don't see them on car 3) Seller doesn't list location of car 4) Doesn't look like a GTS from exterior shots 5) No mention of service history I have emailed the seller for more info. Just curious if any one knows the car - Probably you can't tell anyway since the shots are pretty generic. Thanks for any help
It looks like the bottom part of the e-bay text was cut and pasted - it is a different font than the rest - so the Tubi, Shields, etc.. could be wrong.. It does look like the GTS - but hard to tell on the roof for sure. 75K for a 96 with 32K miles - is not that great of a deal - specifically if you do not know about 30K service, etc. There are better deals out there that do not have these questions.... There are a few in the FerrariADs section above that I would look at first... Just some thoughts. Rich
yes, that part of the text does look pasted. The last mileage on the car was reported in Nov. 2003 at 7k. Notice the ad does not say 32k, it says 324,888! Rich - Your last name always reminds me of Braveheart!
Jerry,if his first name was William then possibly, when you see my surname does it remind of your self. All the best Dave McGuire
Ok here is a clue for you. Go and look at the Feedback section. This guy has sold Helmets Nike shorts and a bunch of other crap, by far the most expensive thing was a car stereo...... No history of vehicle sales and the pictures look very familiar from another auction. The lack of location.... BullShiitometer going up
lol - Add that to the list of issues. Yes - I do like blue - Find me an Azzurro 355 with crema interior & I will thank you for it.
An Azzuro 355 sold at a Pittsburg dealership last year... black interior though. Still dead sexy. Hopefully when I'm ready to pull the trigger, it'll pop back onto the market.. it's all about the blue -R
if I can only find this one again.... 1998, 2000 miles, bought it for 85K last May. It was on Memorial day.... Left a 25k deposit...... Paperwork to be sent on Tuesday.... Guy sold out from under me for 90k.... I may never get over this traumatic event. Lesson learned..... Damn I was stupid, at least I learned some lessons from it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Another Hijack (can I hijack my own thread?). Here's mine to fit the theme. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Even though I am not a fan of blue ferraris... LOVED the car ZJPJ posted. I think if one gets blue/creme then it HAS to be GTS, as with the roof off, it looks Stunning! Jerry, on your pic, the sun is on the wrong side, thus making your car appear too dark Time to take the Ferrari out, and take more pics..tough life you have!
Holy cow that sucks. 85k for a 98 with only 2k miles.. almost a year ago? wow. That sounds like one of those once-in-a-lifetime deals. Hope you catch up to her again...Can't let the blues get away that easily! -R
Yeah, I really dropped the ball on that one - Great introduction to the life of Ferrari's huh? Never have seen a similar car..... It was even my first ride in a Ferrari... Sigh Also, the add for the topic of this thread was pulled off of ebay - "Error in Listing."
Oddly enough... the car I was talking about, the blue with black interior one that sold in Pittsburg, is for sale again in NY. http://www.motorclassiccorp.com/DisplayCar.asp?carid=89 Says it's Monaco blue though. Looks a lot like Azzuro. Here's a pic of it when it was in Pittsburg.. gonna call this place and see what they're asking for it. -R
Cool, let me know what they are asking. It is too dark for Azzurro, but I have never heard of Monaco blue.
Jerry, I know you like the blue, and I think that Monaco color on the F355 is much more striking! Good luck.
