For some reason the stradale wheels look quite good, are these the same wheels as the 360 challenge car that howheels brought out, except painted in a shiny silver, or are they a new design all together. j3nzo
The rims are a new design for the Stradale. HW's did a much better job with this model. I'm rather pleased with it.
I thought so, the wheels that were on the previous challenge car were sh**. Does anyone know if this car is available in the U.K yet..? j3nzo
Cool Models from Hotwheels. Where did you buy ? How much did you pay for them? I want them. I saw them on ebay a good price and waiting for 166 Barchetta...
Welcome to the board! What a great addition to your collection. What other models do you have? I can't wait for the 166 to finally come out.
The CH rims of the previous Challenge car were ****. The rims on the Stradale are much nicer. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Have you seen it in person? I felt the same way until I saw it. It really is pretty. I have the model too, but it doesn't really compare to the original. The front is a lot more elegant on the real car (not that Mattel did anything wrong, you just have to see it in person).
Here are a few more pic of the Stradale. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fuji finepix 3800 w/ macro. 3.2 Megapixel and a tripod. I only used the macro for the closeup of the rim and interior shots.
I haven't seen it in person yet. I'll probally get to see one sometime this summer. It is tough to make a judgement on it with only seeing the Mattel version.
Looking at the CS I see a couple issues: Doesn't the original have some red on the rim of the steering wheel as well? Also I thought the back of the seats was carbon fibre, hence should be black. Also I'm not sure the continuation of the stradale strip down the back of the trunk door is correct. Not sure though.
When I receive it I will post some details about it. Next month, rigth for the return of F1 to Europe I'll be in Florence so on wednesday or thursday we will make a trip to Mekka, sorry Maranello... I hope to score the 360CS and the black Enzo there. Bob
Oh no, don't do that! You can get those cars on ebay or some place. If you go to Maranello, use that spare room in your luggage for something truly rare: Get the Breadvan, a Monza or the 125S for example.
The car seems to sit very high, on my Modena I just pulled all the suspension springs out, it now sits much much lower and looks really aggressive....
I did a similar thing on my 550 Maranello that I'm converting into a GT. Left the rears untouched, but changed the front. Now it has a bit of a negative angle. Way aggressive. The car basically sits now on the front wing.
