Anyone ever had to use tyre foam that's out of date? Realise tyre foam is far from ideal anyway, but for the first time since owning the car I decided to see what was in the box. Lovely can of tyre foam with a Ferrari sticker and the words "Expires end Nov 99"! The amusing part about this is that the car was first registered Jan 99!! Am pretty sure I'll just not bother putting the package back in the car (extra unnecessary weight ), but was wondering if anyone had used an out of date can of this stuff?
I used the can in my 355, car is a 95, used the can in 2002, worked fine. The problem is replacing it so the car is complete, not available from the dealer, my suggestion is don't use it, instead keep one or two cans from a parts store in the car for use. Mark
There is a unit available from JC Whitney which has a pump that pressurizes the bottle containing the foam so that you can get the tire up to pressure as well as plugging the flat&
