The sills on the 348's are so wide, they are prone to scraping and marring when you enter and exit the car. Mine are this way. What is the best solution? Just a simply re-spray? I have seen the "carbon fiber" inserts on ebay. Anyone have experience with these?

I removed mine and sprayed them with black paint. I removed the rubber strip before painting and used contact cement to re-apply it. They look a lot better, but not perfect. But like you said, they take a lot of abuse, so I don't care. They will only get scuffed again. Good luck!

They rot too. Pay attention to the outer edge, rear corner.

The carbon fiber is a good alternative. But in time, it will get scratched as well.

I dont know if there's a way you can avoid scratches on that area.
