What a turnout; I counted 18 Ferraris! It was great connecting with the "regular" gang and really fun meeting some new tifosi. What a great group of people and some awesome cars as well. Thanks Ed for letting me know about this, I would have kicked myself if I'd missed it. Andy

Dave, I agree with you about adding some driving. Although I think much of the attraction of our "Breakfast Club" has been just taking the cars out for a modest drive that has a destination without having to make a major time commitment.... well, for me anyway. We just can't let Barney be the pace car after he goes to Skip Barber! lol

Andy, You're welcome! It wouldn't be the same without you. Especially since you are the one who initially turned us on to meeting there.

Sunday was great. I can't recall that many f cars in one place for some time. Nice ride, and nice mix of cars. My son and I were like kids in a candy store.

    NNO,
The green TR is mine, and unfortunately it sees Autosport Design sometimes all too often. My 355 is actually there right now.

As far as I know, my TR may be the only green one in the US (there were green 512TRs though) - its a custom ordered color from the factory.

David, that's awesome...! LOL, i have pictures of it from when i was at Autosport...! Red Heads are a temperamental lot, so it's no surprise that she frequents A.S.D.... i just hope it's not in there more than it's out...

Hey, when the weather gets nicer, don't ever hesitate to drive through Commack...:D

I think some of you guys where down at Captree today, I wasn't sure who's car was who's but they are Amazing, ive never been that close to a modena before, left me in aww.. I was one of the Z, the guy with the orange hat.. Just some amazing cars, really great. Anways maybe ill run into you guys at Tobay Fest next week, drive safe

    -Brendan

ps - Sorry about the idiots doing donuts in the back parking lot, all of us Z owners where a little put off by it, didn't want to make a bad name for ourselves since it was our first time down there. really wasn't the place for that sort of thing

    Brendan,

I saw 3 350Zs there this morning. Was one of them yours? When they were leaving I was attracted by the exhaust note they made. Are you running stock exhaust?

And yeah, one of these days, either a jerk doing wheelies or stoppies on his bike or someone in a car smoking his tires is going to ruin it for all of us. We have to make sure the people we're with don't screw around there. Its too easy for the Parks Commission to decide they don't want us there.

This is the best cruise spot on a Sunday morning and the warm weather hasn't even arrived yet. We have to make sure we don't give the gendarmes a reason to chase us away.

Almost went down, but had to do some other things. Hate to hear about donuts in the lot. This will certainly put an end to the fun. I don't know why some people just don't get it.

The Porsche Club actually had to stop posting their event schedule on their site because they were getting crashed by folks bent on raising hell. They would drive in from anywhere in the NY area and do burnouts etc in the parking lots of their autocrosses and other events. These folks don't know how good they have it and don't appreciate when the State Police will let a bunch of enthusiasts park and mill around for a few hours without as much as checking an inspection sticker. Let's hope they find somewhere else to play.

I doubt it would help but maybe they should be told politely they are not welcome. Or I'm sure there has to be someone who attends Robert Mo. who has a friend with the State Police. Maybe it could be nipped early before it gets out of hand.

Well with a little luck ill be a State trooper soon, taking the test on Sat morning.. as for me, yes I was there, I was one of the 3 Silverstones (dark silvers). I don't have a front plate, and i have a "Fairlady Z", not a "350Z" thats how you know me. Any who, its great to see exoitic cars.. I went to drool over the cars, take some photos and meet some people, but sadly enough some of my fellow 20+ year olds, don't have a similar maturity level. Hopfully word will get around our inner circle, and they will think twice next time. As for most of my fellow Z guys, we are all big car enthusiasts, and love a good car meet, in fact one of my buddies knows a guy running a 900hp Viper, not sure if he cruises these boards, thats how we found out about captree, and then i saw the post here.

As for the exaust question, im running stock exaust, there was a guy running the Nismo exaust, which i happen to like ALOT, and other guy running stock exaust but with Test pipes, he is also running a pop charger under the hood, which adds a beautiful sound when you give her a little gas. I noticed that one of the Modenas had a tubi exaust, i was hoping to see the owner around, ive never heard one in person, o well, maybe next time.

Anyways hope to see you guys this sunday at tobay fest, ill be the guy in the Clemson hat, and the 350z jacket.

    Cheers
    Brendan

Edit - tuttebenne I recognised your car in your profile, its beautiful, and is the exact F-car i hope to own one day, color and everything, good choice :)

These are the same tools that think there invited to this tobay fest. like it says here in this quote... key word coincidently!

"This is it! Our season opener and biggest meet in the Tri-State. This is the long anticipated g2g that brings together the Fastest cars in the Northeast! COINCIDENTLY, The Porsche Club is also holding their autocross at the same place and date, which means bathrooms and food among other important things!
As usual for TobayFest, expect well over 100+ cars, imports, domestics, and more than enough high hp surprises .
It will be warm and the streets will be cleeeean. Everyone is invited."

I love how there creating something off of someone elses actual group meeting/autocross. Oh it just so happens the porsche club will be having an autocross at the same date and time..hmm amazing! The porsche club has to get permits and these dopes come and crash it. 100 cars isnt much go to bald hill every tuesday night and see 1000 cars. Some of those dopes will ruin the sunday morning cruise to captree as well one day, which would be a huge shame cuase its a good get together as well.

The funny thing is the guy who tries to rally all the troops by posting on every board lists "ferrarichat" as one of the clubs in attendance.
