If that place has ANY connection to the toy store in FL it might be wise to stay far away. You could do a search on the toy store here and find mounds of bad things on them

I think the price is on the high side. Good luck! Hope you get one soon. :)

Not too sure on CDN pricing, but that is around $34k usd, which is top dollar for a GTSi. IF the car has lots of documentation, IF it has a recent major service, IF it passes a PPI and IF it has good cosmetics (no rust, worn seats, worn carpets, rotten dash, etc) then it could be a decent purchase.

So IF everything checks out, this is really worth maybe $27k usd or $36,000 cdn. Personally, I would wait, and find a 1984 or 1985 QV. More power, factory rust proofing, and newer. Should be around $45,000 cnd for something like that. If USA pricing is similar to Canadian.

    $20-25K is wholesale.

For $45K don't even think about one of these cars.

Spend $20-25K on a 911SC or $25-30K on a 911 Carrera. Way more car......less mechanical repair cost and quicker resale turnaround time.

At $45K, it better be in concours condition. Even if there is some work to be done, I think a GTSi in good working condition should sell for roughly in between 35K and 40K at best. Make him an offer and walk away. If he really wants to sell, he may be open to negotiations.

I believe that the '80-'82 308s are the "slowest" Ferraris ever made. I had an '81 and "NO THANKS"!!!!!!!!!!!! I would agree with getting the QV instead.
