    Got this from pipass.com:
"According to reports coming out of Italy, part of the Ferrari factory was damaged by fire in the early hours of this morning.

It's understood that the fire affected part of the the road car division and not the race car factory which is situated in another part of Maranello.

Nobody was injured in the fire though several new prototypes are understood to have been damaged."

    Does anyone know more?

    Fire damages Ferrari headquarters
    Tue 16 March, 2004 11:40

MILAN, March 16 (Reuters) - A fire damaged part of Ferrari's headquarters on Tuesday, burning several prototype cars being developed at the Maranello production site.

"We intervened at around 1 a.m. (0000 GMT)," said an official from the local fire brigade. "A hangar in the experimental section containing several car prototypes was burning. The fire is now under control."

A Ferrari spokesman said nobody had been injured and work in most of the affected building had already been transferred to a new factory.

He said the fire caused damage to some prototype cars and equipment.

The fire official said firefighters were still at Maranello which is near Ferrari's test track site at Fiorano.

And so far reports that Ron Dennis and Frank Williams were heard singing Billy Joel's 'We didn't start the fire' have not been verified.

You, nor anyone else, has any idea what they're talking about. For all we know the "prototype" cars were simply warehoused old show cars from years past.

Also fyi, it's way too early for even theoretical discussions of the next Ferrari supercar by management, let alone a prototype, lol. They're too busy dropping the ugly 612 and strange looking Maser 4-door on our heads.
