MILANO (Reuters) - Un incendio ora sotto controllo si è propagato nella notte in un padiglione della casa automobilistica Ferrari a Maranello, in provincia di Modena, provocando danni.


Lo riferiscono i vigili del fuoco di Sassuolo, nel Modenese, intervenuti a spegnere le fiamme insieme alle squadre di Modena, Carpi e Bologna.


"Siamo intervenuti intorno all'una di notte. Bruciava un capannone della sezione sperimentale, con all'interno alcuni prototipi di automobili. Ora l'incendio è circoscritto", ha detto un funzionario del comando dei pompieri, aggiungendo che una squadra si è recata stamane sul posto per controllare la stabilità della struttura e se vi siano altri focolai.


Un portavoce della casa automobilistica ha detto che l'incendio non è stato grave e che non ci sono feriti. "Non è stato nulla di grave e nessuno è rimasto ferito", ha dichiarato, aggiungendo che l'attività che si svolgeva nel capannone è stata trasferita a una nuova struttura.


Alcuni prototipi e strumenti sono stati danneggiati, ha detto il portavoce, confermando quanto anticipato dai vigili del fuoco.


"Le fiamme hanno danneggiato anche alcune autovetture, ma non possiamo dire ancora quante. I danni sono ingenti. La causa dell'incendio è ancora sotto accertamento", ha dichiarato il funzionario dei pompieri.
