....after 6 weeks of ownership I'm slowly becoming addicted to tunnels (even without a Tubi). My regular drive takes me on the 105 heading West to the 405 South......this a great sounding stretch of road....a must for tunnel addicts!

Anyone want to share their favorite tunnels?

I do the same transition but the other way. 105 east to 405 north. I call it Monaco. I can hit 130-140 through there in the 550.

Hmm...well, believe it or not...the LAX tunnel that goes under the airport/airfield whatever--on Sepulveda Blvd. Traffic is always pretty ridiculous almost all the time, so it's not exactly ideal. But, get it at the right time of the day or night and wow. Wonderful. It's so long. Another problem is the innumerable amounts of patrolling in the area. Use sparingly...

My favorite tunnels (not necessarily in this order)...

    Sepulveda Blvd
    Kanan Rd
    105 Freeway
    210 Freeway
    110 Freeway

... just to name a few!

The double on the 110 in town is good, but the 2nd Street tunnel right downtown is really good too - not a high speed venue per se but lined with tile (you have seen it in countless car ads) and serious acoustics. Just got a Boxster and have caned it through a couple of times already...

I know that this is not a local tunnel, but if any of you ever make it up to Monterey, go through the tunnel that runs to Cannery Row, it is about 100 yards long and makes anything sound good!

LIke BYRON said the 210 tunnel is great! Also the tunnel on 405 north right befor it intersects with the 5. That is a cool one too.

I know the good tunnels, I just dont have a car that I can enjoy in the tunnels :D

    Indeed the sound!!!

The way it echoes and reflects off the walls, the way it gets loud and surrounds you. It is grand. Doesn't necessarily have to be a Ferrari, but the wondrous sounds that come from these engines...it doesn't get much better.

I swear the F355 sounded like F2004 through that LAX tunnel, and the exhaust is stock. It was amazing. I was shaking, my heart was pounding...

My 308 with headers is music to my ears in any tunnel and almost every big flyover. Can't resist getting on it just to hear it! It is so loud ( nearly as loud as my sb 327 at 9k rpms w/cut-outs) that I worry about other drivers freaking out.

As soon as I get my vid up from the last drive, you'll be able to see what it really does sound like. Also, someone else posted some tunnel vids from the Enzo run in another thread, do a search for it.

Has anyone tried the tunnel that goes under one of the runways at the Van Nuys airport??

There is also the tunnel on Sepulveda before Mulholland.

Ya, when I downloaded it a while back it didn't work for me either. It worked for others though. But so far, no other's have been put up, but I am sure eventually some will.
