    Nice, kinda surprised that theres not more tq than there is, but it still produces alot.

    It's going to be fast... but it's as ugly as the regular 5 series. I dub this BANGLIZED.

    You know what really pissed me off about him? He was defending his designs on TV. When the whole BMW community is reeling in anger over the new series.

    Torque has to do with displacement. The difference between 4.9 liter V8 and 5.0 litre V12 is very small in the TQ department. However, the stroke has gone down by 15%, allowing access to another 15% revs (7000 RPMs->8000 RPMs) so power goes up by a little more than 15% add in the 2% from displacement and you get close to the 20% found in the article.
