the alleged moving violations from those who wear uniforms.
The sound of a stone bouncing of the hood....ouch i hate that. But I bought it to drive so its going to have some battle wounds. Tom
The electrics could be better especially on the older cars. I swear the Italians think you can pass electricity through plastic.
The interior space is too small, ergonomics are all wrong, pedals too close, steering wheel too far away, my head hits the top when it is on, it needs a 6th gear and another 200 HP. If I had it to do over I would have bought it again. DJ
Too exepensive to maintain. And Allan, drive your car,..it is depreciating just as fast in the garage as it will on the road.
Funny! I like the steering wheel position but I can see how if you are way over 6 feet or under about 5'6" it could present a problem.
You can never pick your nose while waiting at a stop light Actually, I there is nothing is dislike. After five Porsche Turbos, this is my favorite car to drive. Only pet peeve - when driving on the freeway people match and hold speed with me to check out the car...and they always seem to do it in my "blind spot"....Grrrrrrr
The turn signals sound tinny and cheap. I know I'm reaching, but it is the only thing I can complain about at this point. Gary
Its is obvious you have never been in an MG-B or a Lotus Europa. That is the very definition of the Italian driving position. You are blaming a car for your body being too big? why did you buy it in the first place? Every car on the road needs another 200 HP {{and slicks in the rainly season to accelerate Darwins revenge}}
When I had the 308, I hated smelling like exhaust when I got out of the car, slow windows (hardly ever rolled them up though), and not being able to leave it anywhere for fear that it would get keyed or something. I'll let you know on the TR on 2 weeks.
The engine noise is so loud it's impossible to order food from a drive-thru at a fast food restaurant, since I can't hear what the person on the other side of the speaker is saying...
Actually I have owned a 1971 MG Midget. Once I mastered entry the ergonomics were quite good even with the top up. I have also owned a 1958 TR3 . I'm not blaming the car for anything. The entire point of my answer was that although the relationship I have with this car isn't perfect I still love the car. Just answering the question...................................... DJ
Hey everyone thanks for the great replies. I love my 308 even if it isn't the fastest car I've ever owned. And even though I'm new to this I can see that I should have asked Allan what he dislikes about his Lambo(s)
Convertible top is a pain in the a$$ to put up and down. The top latches are fragile and are $175 each - ask me how I know.... People tailgate the crap out of you since seeing a Ferrari on the road around here is a once-every-other-month kind of experience.
There are certain posts that, upon reading, just make you laugh out loud because they're so funny and hit so close to home. Amen Patrick. Amen. Great post! For me, it's all of the above plus the fact that I'm constantly having to think about how to manuever my car onto / down from any incline >15 degrees so as to avoid scraping her nose.
