Over the weekend, Bruce Wellington, Dwight Hutchison, and I had a Hill Engineering accessory installation session. All three of us now have the cross-drilled pedals in place and I think that I can speak for the three of us when I say that they are a big improvement both functionally and esthetically. Also, each of us has installed a "Slick-Shift" gate for the gear lever. I assumed that it would improve smoothness when shifting from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th, but I had no idea exactly how much. All I can say is wow! What a difference! All of these products are of great quality and have been a worthwhile edition to our cars. Next we will install the dead pedals. Again, a thank you to Paul Hill and the gang. Keep up the good work! :)

What??? Don't you just mean drilled pedals. Drilling the thin edge would be close to impossible and that is what cross-drilled pedals would mean ... er, atleast to me.

Infact the term 'cross' when used regarding brake disc is unnecessary to, but is trying to differentiate between the ventilated brake disc which could be made by drilling up the edge of the disc.

    Pete ... confused.

Drilled Pedals. Sorry for the confusion Pete. :)

I agree entirely, I put mine in last week and they make an enormous difference. Especially when wearing dress shoes or any other less than sticky soled shoe. The install directions were detailed (maybe even too detailed, I got dizzy trying to count how fast the drill was turning!), the product finish is beautiful and functional, and the attention to detail extended to a couple of possible installation configurations and included the hardware it "might" take.

Well done Paul Hill. I'll add some pics when I get a chance.

Can't agree more, I installed the Slick-Shift gate in my F40 and I can't believe the difference 1-2 2-3 much smoother. I got the foot rest but can't bring myself to start drilling into the carbon fiber!

That's too funny. I recognized the picture of the installation, since I just got mine and put them in. Everything you said is true. Plus, I replaced my shift knob to the polished metal--looks awesome.

Hey guys what is the slick shift? Anyone have a pick? Is it a tapered shift gate or curved? Sounds interesting.

I run the slick shift, too... Definitely makes a noticeable difference in shifting 1 to 2, and 3 to 4 and back down.
