    Thanks
    These cars are so stunning.

This one is interesting because of the rear glass - reminds me of an ATS.

And for those who have not seen one, this is the mid-engined V-8 ATS 2500 GT. ATS was formed by the brilliant engineer Carlo Chiti and others after leaving Ferrari in the famous 'Palace Revolt. ATS never took off and was unable to adequately develop its F1 car (with Phil Hill driving) and Chiti went on to AutoDelta, Alfa's racing arm.

I remember pictures from the old Sports Car Graphic magazine of Phil changing spark plugs on his ATS F1 car. The editors thought it was scandalous that he had been reduced to changing his own spark plugs.

Imagine MS doing that! Somehow I'm sure it will never happen.

Great pics of the ATS...Thanks. Only built 6 or 7 I think.

There was an ad for one for sale in the US recently. I emailed the guy for more info, but had no reply. Anyone know anything about it...?

At least one of the few ATS 2500cc engines was enlarged to 3000cc and used in a Grand Prix car, a 1965 Cooper which was practised by Jo Bonnier for the 1966 French GP at Rheims but didn't start, and then was entered by Charles Vogele and driven by Silvio Moser in the 1967 British GP at Silverstone, and later in Swiss hillclimbs.

The car had been put together by Alf Francis, previously mechanic with the HWM and Rob Walker teams to Stirling Moss.
