    Well I've now been at junction 2 on the M25 for nearly 2 hours and I've travelled all of 1 miles in that time. What is the longest that anybody has been sat in a car doing nothing because of traffic. Here a chemical tanker has overturned and closed the road.

    On line thanks to bluetooth, GPRS and other toys.

    Sorry to hear about that today,heard it on the radio and felt sorry for everybody, same thing happened last year around the other side got stuck for 5 hours, NIGHTMARE phone went dead as well,(that will teach me not to carry a charger.)

    In 1990 I was stuck on the M1 for 4 hours between junction 11 and 12.. chemical spill.

    And I was stuck in a manky old Mk1 Escort on my own without a radio or a phone.. how I laughed (maniacaly)

    almost 5 hours on the m6 back in about 1996, apparently the longest tailback up to that date in the UK

    Andrew - I think I was in that one too. When they found the IRA bombs at M6 spagetti junction. Took me 8 hours to get back from London. 70 Mile tailbacks !!

    About three years ago myself an my wife went to Le Mans for a trackday weekend with the FOC On the way back the dirty French farmers decided to blockade the roads to the port of Le Havre we were stuck in my Transit van with the 355challenge on the trailer for 26 hours (didnt she moan)

    was stuck at a round-a-bout here on the isle of man once for nearly a minute ! (ho, ho).....but we do have some good points: no motorways, no gatsos,
    and best of all, NO SPEED LIMITS !

    hahaha ever soo true, Dave.

    Untill a couple of CMs of snow comes along and ruins the transport system Island wide. The Island must of come to a standstill for a good 4 hours three weeks back.

    Unfortunately, I was one of those countless people who also had a collision during that minor snow fall.
