Also look at Libya they gave up there WMD after we took over Iraq. The Democrats just don't have the character to do what it takes to protect this country and they have proved it over and over again. I am glad we had President Bush when 9/11 happened. Gore would have tried to appease AQ just like Spain.

Jesus Christ. If we listen to you we would think that we never bought oil from the Saudis befor the Bushis where in office. That would be wrong President Carter start this relationship we currently have with the Saudis. And every President has done everything possible to keep the relationship together… including Clinton.
Get off it and get your facts straight. If Clinton took down Bin Laden when he had the chance 9/11 probably wouldn’t have happened since Bin Laden is the main financer of AQ.

I have my medals awarded to me during my Air Force service and can show them to you if you ask. Where are Kerry's? He doesn't have them. He throw them away prior to protesting America and the Vietnam WAR.

On hand and Knee??? We built the UN and have saved the WORLD MULITPLE times we beg no one! We have lost less than 700 men to date. That is amazing in WWI or WWII we would lose that many men in the first minutes of battle. What you Libs seem to forget is that Freedom is not Free and is fought and died for with blood. If we don’t take it to them as 9/11 showed they will bring it here. As a Veteran of the US Air Force I would rather fight and die bringing the battle to them.

IMHO Yes be worried. We have open borders and terrorist are getting in. They have been finding Muslim pray blankets at the Mexico border. I fear nuclear attack near Election Day. When Kerry said “Some foreign leaders would like to see him gain office.” I truly believe that so would AQ and other terrorist organizations and countries across the world would. These are desperate time for terrorist. We have a leader that will take the battle to them and kill them where ever they are.

actually the first american oil concession in saudi arabia was papered in 1933 with socal, aka standard oil of california. and we took this right from under the noses of the british. roosevelt placed the first ambassador there in 1939 (shared w/ egypt). keeping in mind that saudi arabia was only formally established by ibn saud in 1926, we were pretty quick to get in on the action.

If that's your wish, so be it. However, I suspect that there are far more than a few people who now wish they weren't there. If your so gung ho, volunteer again. I saw way too much of that sort of stuff in 69, 70. Makes me sick to the stomach, young people losing legs, arms, dying. I'm not a pacifist, but there better be a good reason to get young people dead or maimed. I'm sorry, but I don't see it in Iraq, not then, not now. The reasons proved false, and now we're in a quagmire with no clear plan of how to get out. Stupid. It was stupid in Viet Nam, it's stupid now. If you think so little of your life, be my guest: volunteer again. I saw enough of you air force guys in the Viet Nam war, didn't get dirty, unless they were lobbing **** in from the perrimeter, then your precursors, would run around, yell, scream and wait for the army to come and make you safe again.

A lot of pilots were shot down over Vietnam died and were made POW's. Same with WWI and WWII. It's funny that I was in TACP training which is the AIR FORCE special forces. What's also funny about TACP is they are the most Elite even above the NAVY seals.

I thought about serving again but I am to far out of shape to do what I want to.

I'm not the one who's chicken you should try looking in the mirror before accusing some else.

Do you think you could tell us you were in the AirForce a few more times? Or could you talk about your medals and how you served in the M.E.?

I love it when guys try to come off as big shot war hereos when they're just the average enlisted guy. Who cares what Kerry did with his medals? Are you upset that he went over there, and then came back and excercised some of his American rights?

As far as being attacked near election time, don't sweat it. Our trusty president is rounding up all the terrorists overseas so we can all live safe perfect lives. Or just stay out of prime target areas, or realize that terrorism isn't as big of a threat as what it's made out to be. I read that the odds of being killed by a terrorist in 2001 was 1 in 100,000. The odds of dieing in a car accident was 1 in 6,500. Suicide 1 in 15,000. I don't fear cars or myself, so I see no reason to fear terrorists.

    Randall did you serve?

Do you know what I did and didn't do during my time of service do you know about any of my Medals or Awards during my time of serivce? I think I did more than prove my point if all you can do is make personal attacks. It's funny because that is what the Libs are doing to President Bush right now. They attacked his service record then came out saying the Bush was attacking Kerry's. All I saw on the news for 2 weeks was Bush was he awol. The LIB's have no platform to stand on that's why they are trying to change the subject.

Why? Are you one of those guys that think you are above others since you were in the military for a bit? Do you feel that maybe you should have more of a freedom of speech, or being entitled to special treatment since you have military background?

I bet you're one of "those guys", the people that feel they're doing the country a great favor and everyone else should bow down to them.

so you think the terrorist threat is not such a big deal? talk to the people of madrid. the only reason that we haven't had more incidents in the usa is because every has their eyes peeled, but it will happen anyway. as for your statistical reference, it is false logic, but i am glad you feel safe.

What is your problem? I wasn't in the military but I certainly RESPECT those that were.

Again, a fairly ignorant statement. As for Kerry, "who cares about what he did with medals"; well the point is he spat in the face of all the bretheren that he was SUPPOSED to be allied with by fabricating stories, stories by the way that he now, in 2004, doesn't have the BALLS to stand by! As for THAT being an example of him exercising his American rights... well I won't even touch that one. I'm sure he was alongside friends who died and he rendered their lives MEANINGLESS with his swaggering statements before Congress, safely on American shores of course.

This paragraph is just plain baffling so I won't deign to address it.

    Don,

My point was simple and it has nothing to do with being pro-Kerry or pro-Bush. Kerry may have thrown his medals away but at least he went to Vietnam and served with honor. GWB used Daddy's connections to get him into the TANG on the day he applied (jumping over a long waiting list with one phone call). I just find it ironic that the self-styled warrior bailed when he had the chance to serve in combat.

By the way Randall is currently in the service. Seems you missed my point: why? And that's pretty big question, isn't it? Without an answer, the rest of this is BS. People will fight over things important. What's important now, since the premise that we brought this war was incorrect?

I never heard of an elite Air Force Group. More elite than the Navy Seals. Give me a break.
