Stay off issues just attack the person said the DNC. Yes I earned them as I said earlier. I had received more that I showed but I would have to keep searching. But my Military service is not the issue. I'm a private citizen and intend on keeping it that way. The issue is not even President Bush or John Kerry. The Issue is if we are safe and if not are we taking the right actions to become so. I think no we are not safe and yes we are going the right way about it to becoming safer.

The Dems have no solutions to any problems. All they do is attack but as usual they don’t offer up any idea’s to improve or make the situation better. The UN suggestion is ludicrous. No offenses to any one but the Europeans haven’t been able to protect them selves for the last 100 years. Even more a lot of them had personal interest in Saddam staying in power. No one is going to look out for America but Americans. These other countries have the own interest and agendas and the well being of the US of America frankly isn’t one of them.

Thank you for yor support. But as you can see I have been targeted and it's not a debate over issues anymore. It's now over my Military service even though they don't even know me.

 

The pics aren't showing on this computer, I'll check again later when I get home. I'd like to know what you consider "earning them". I have 5 medals so far, and every year it gets easier to "earn" more. There's medals for everything. National Defense - just for being in during Gulf War I, Good Conduct- for staying out of trouble for 3 years, Marksman- good shot with a gun, Expeditionary- for going on a deployment >90 days.

I wouldn't say those are really much to "earn".

As far as the liberals having no ideas, that's the typical response to the conservatives that have bad ideas.

This is typical. This the same tactic the DNC is taking with President Bush. They avoid the issue and make personal attacks it should be the DNC creed. I even tried getting the thread back on issue to no avail. Which is the reason I shouldn't have started anyway.

If we get attacked around election time does that mean that the war on terrorism is failing? And can we still blame Clinton if it happens? What if Bush gets re-elected and an attack happens, who will there be to blame then? Clearly if Kerry gets elected and we get attacked it would be Kerry's fault, along with all those god hating, gay marrying liberals.

People like to say that we're all being so vigilant, and that's why terrorist aren't getting to us. I think it's because terrorists are so far away, the ocean around us provides a lot of safety. If terrorists hardly tried they could come into the country w/o a problem. Mexicans do it all the time. Libertarians, Republicans and Democrats are all afraid to really fortify the borders. Polls say majority of Americans are for it, but yet it will never happen, the fear of losing votes is just too great.

 

This is something we agree on. As I mention before there have been Muslim pray blankets found on the border. They are getting into the country and right now we are powerless to stop them from crossing the southern border. That's why I have some fear as we get close to election day. These terrorist being very politically savvy might try the same thing here as they did in Spain.

We saw President Bush's Military record on the news for 2 week just recently that was brought up by the DNC. When some outside comments were made about Kerry he blamed Bush (who had nothing to do with it) for questioning his patriotism. The fact is he did protest America and Vietnam. The fact is he does not have any medals (for valor or not) that he had received during his time of service. This makes it very easy to conclude he was not proud of serving our Country.
My Military service is a mute point. I am proud for serving my Country in the US Air Force.

 

atbnm3, so you've now met randall. never mind him, he has been sailing a desk in hawaii for a while and evidently quite bitter about it. over the last 2 years he has disparaged anything and everything about our country and military, and yet he's happy enough to collect the paycheck from uncle sam. don't bother responding to him, it is a waste of time.

But it sure looks like he's quit answering questions regarding his service. And where'd the pics of his medals go? Maybe he has to go find some to post, since it's likely his were the token medals everyone gets.

 

Every time I sit down and read these threads the only conclusion I can come to is that amongst the good ol' USA there are some pretty spooky people. Your patriotism at the cost of all others is disturbing. Prior to Sept 11 wasn't the largest terrorist attack actually from an American against your own government?

 

I've stayed out of this thread for too long. When you live as well as America does (and America lives very, very well), you have to protect it and you have to deal with the fact that there’s millions of people all over the world who don’t have a fraction of what the average American has. From material possessions to basic freedoms, America is the rockstar nation.

I think the American media should stop the "Boy are we surprised!" type of reportage after 9/11. Wake the f*ck up. America, you’re hated. Terrorism happens all over the world all the time. I heard someone say on CNN the other day, "America used to be the world. Now America is part of the world."
