Like the car, but think the black/white contrast is quite acute. Prefer the black/tan combination personally.

Nice car, looks very sharp. When I looked it was at $60,100 which seems a little low to me. The ad says it had the front bumper repainted and the car will come without a warranty... do these two things knock the price down this far? Or was it an auction type thing where they start with a really low price? Thanks on any input to these questions.

It is a very gorgeous car, good luck on your dream of purchasing such a car! :) I'm in the same boat. ;)

Say.... FerrariSlave---I didn't realize that you are interested in this car. If so, I am more than happy to back off and it's all good (I certainly don't need to have it)....and I certainly don't want to inadvertantly run the market up on you. Let me know.

    Tom,

Good luck on your bidding - that is a great looking 355! - looks to be in great shape as well...

I am betting that the reserve is somewhere north of 100K - most of dupont/FML/Etc are hanging these around 115K... The good news is that it had the Major Service this month - so that will save 5 - 10K depending on what would have been needed. If you could get this for around the 100K mark that would be a great deal.

    Good Bidding,
    Rich

Hi Jerry--- I placed a $83,000 bid and "reserve still hasn't met". I assume it will probably command lo to mid 90's?

Thanks, Rich---- It looks beautiful. Although, I admit being less than crazy about having two Black Ferraris....; hence, there is no calamity if I miss it.

Black/Tan is just a personal preference, plus I think they hide the wear 'n tear a little better. That being said, the car is still beautiful. Being that it is a '99, the seats look pristine.

    Price-wise, here's what I see:

    (1) Pristine condition
    (2) MY99
    (3) F1 Transmission
    (4) Properly done 30K servicing
    (5) Dealer seller (that too, a "Lamborghini" dealer).

This car is not selling below $100K.

Thanks, Vic--- In the mid to upper 80's.. I am in but lo 100's... I fold. That's probably fine. It seems like every time I add a hi tix item to get my fix of car addiction, I always get myself in trouble with the Mrs. and ultimately, I often end up having to "move" out of the house...so this works out for the best.

Bid what you think is fair...and haggle like crazy. :D Wishing you the best. One never knows.

I know the feeling though, Tom. Just bought a 355, and while I am enjoying myself immensely, keep thinking to myself: gosh, look at all the beautiful 550's for sale. Temptation, thy name is Ferrari.

  13. Hehe not interested in purchasing this 355. Maybe a different 355 in the near future. Its a gorgous car though, I think but im not 100% sure that the bumber wasnt repainted because of an accident but because of rock chips and flaws etc.

I also perfer the Natrual/Black Combo but the Creme/Black is also great espacially since the interior is perfect and stands out great. Seats,Dash, Center Console and carpets are perfect. Car had 30k service completed this month its fully detailed great 355. With the 355 being my Favorite F model they all look good but this one is special.

Tom-F1 good luck if you win. Car is great

    Are you sure? :)
I placed a bid for $88888, and auction is at $82600, so your bid is $82500 at most.

If you're really interested I'd just try to work with the owner directly. E-mail them or whatever to feel them out. It's better than shooting in the dark imo.

true, although i am pretty sure they won't let go for much under 100k, that's over my price target. nice car though, it is a '99.

I'm very curious to see where it sells. 355 F1 Spiders in the 80K-90K range intrigue me!

I am sure it won't sell.
Bidding is going up to high 80's I think, I will be surprised it will see into 90's, but reserve will NOT be met anyway. I bet $50 reserve is over 100k.

Don't know what to think and you might be right but a potential buyer shouldn't attempt bid in the mid to upper 90's unless he is willing to own it.

IMO, it isn't worth that much to me. For another +15K, I'd rather get into a 99 360M. My 2cts.

I bought Lambo Dallas's last 99 355F1 Spider and it was well over 100k. Mine has half the miles and is yellow with HREs but they sell only the best and they make you pay. All of there cars are near flawless and they are great to work with. I highly recommend them. Here's mine.

Same feeling here. I pay mid 80's the most for a F355. I know '99 is newer and should cost more, but might well just go for '99 Modena then.
