Ferrari 575 GTC qualify 14th and 17th overall 3rd and 4th in class. Danny Sullivan is driving the 4th in class car. Risi Comp 360 GTC 23rd overall. 3rd in class qualification. First race for the 360 GTC
That Risi car looks more like their old GT rather than the new GTC to me. FWIW, the entry list says 360 Modena. Are you sure they're running the 360 GTC? Greg A
Interesting to overlay the qualifying times of the Speedvision WC times onto the ALMS grid. The Speedvision WC times are more competitive than I thought they would be.
I was told by Risi Comp that they would be running the GTC at Sebring and the entire ALMS series. I have not seen the pictures of the car at Sebring. I guess it could be the old one if they had trouble in testing of the GTC. I will see what I can find out.
It would take a sharp eye to tell the differences from the Micholetto 360 N GT and the new 360GTC. They would have to be side by side I'd think. Anyone know quick visual checks??
Greg, Is that a file photo or a picture of the car running at Sebring? If it is a current one it certainly appears to be the old Calpont/Risi GT car from last year. I have not been able to get anything back from them on which car they are running. I would guess they are pretty busy about now.
I think they are focusing on the Maseratis, and the 360 could be last year's car, if they haven't sorted the new ones. Anyone else have info?? Thanks James
Mr. Risi told me that they would only race the Maserati at the 24 at Daytona and would campaign the GTC at the 24 huers de mans and all the ALMS series. I can only think that they are having teething problems with the GTC if they are not using it at Sebring. I know that they have tested it there last month. Anyone else know anything about this?????
According to the site, it is a pic from Sebring taken during action earlier this week. They talked about the car briefly during the pre-race, but all they've said is that it is a new car. No one has ever called it a GTC. I have no idea what it is. Greg A
