The original colour was red with black interior.

Grey metallic can be a nice color, but this repaint was a mistake.

I agree. If he wanted to bring it back to spec I understand.......but changing colour on such an important car??? Damn, especially red!!!??? My God. It does look good but it should have stayed red.

Just my opinion, thanks for the pictures anyway.

This car was painted Giallo in 1991 by Talacrest and subsequently restored to it's original Rosso colour by DK Engineering in 1994.

A wide and varied history !

Yeah, people go crazy about Ferrari's being red but I prefer the modern ones in colors other than red....and when Enzo had a car made for himself it was metallic green! LOL!

I believe that the California plates that were on the car at the time of Boudewijn's photo (taken March 2004) read "THV 284." When it appeared at the Monterey Historic Races in August of last year, it was wearing New Hampshire plates "181 7662" and the car has changed ownership since.

That isn't the same car unless they went through the trouble also of putting the bumper/bumper braces back on and added windscreen deflectors and brake scoops infront of the rear wheel openings. That is unlikely IMO.

It was spotted at Lime Rock earlier this year by "professional spotter" Jarrett Rothmeier, so I have no doubt.

    Hi Boudewijn,

I actually made a mistake in my original Lime Rock list, the car you show pictured is 250GT SWB Comp s/n 1759GT. This is Peter LeSaffre's new car, as he sold s/n 3409GT earlier in the year or late last year. Sorry for the mistake earlier!

To the best of my knowledge, 3409GT is still Silver Grey. Here is a picture I took of the car at Monterey last year (2004). Enjoy!

Makes sense, as this is what 1759GT looked like at Le Mans 1960.
