    HI!
well, I've checked out the listing and from what I can tell they have a pretty good feedback and as far as ebay goes that's all you can depend on.
My advice is, if you want it real bad take a chance and go for it.

    Good luck

i bought two really rare guitars from ebay, the ibanez JS10 Satriani Chromeboy and the Steve Vai Jem 10th. Both arrived in extremely great condition.

    Hello Peter,

I`m in the vintage-guitar business since many years so please let me say:

    - The documents make the price!
(Handsigned document with statement from the artist regarding the instrument, type, model, ser # and maybe a bit history and pic from the artist playing THIS! instrument. I don`t care about COA`s if I can get those documents.

    - Sorry, very sad but true: I living artist worth less than a sadly dead artist!
F.e. Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan are very expensive!
A guitar signed by all Rolling Stones members is still a cheap deal.

    - The guitar itself! A brand new, japanes made RI Stratocastre worth less/nothing compared to an original Fender Startocaster from 1957 or something like this.

    - Recording/Playing history of the instrument. Who has played it before on which record or any shows with pics from the stage? Of course all again with documents!

I'm not sure about that metallica one. Kirk Hammett would never play a squier.

Apparently the question is based on the following criteria:

The instrument itself has no notoriety other than being signed.
Simply cheap guitars that are autographed (with COA).

It's kinda sad when a Clapton sig guitar has a Buy It Now for $440! It reminds me of the Married with Children episode with Jerry Mathers where he was in Foodies grocery store doing a live spot saying " Has my popularity actually fallen below that of Charles Nelson Riely"!!
