    Hi Sepp

pics as requested. The 308 was bought September last year at the Goodwood Revival meeting auction. It had one previous owner from new who had only done 7000 miles in it. Its in excellent condition although, as with any car 28 years old, it needs a bit of tidying up here and there. I've been following the current Technical Forum threads on suspension rebuilds as that is the first major job that needs doing before too long. Fortunately, being fibreglass and having been kept in good controlled climate conditions, the body work is in little or no need of attention although the paint finish needs bringing up a bit to make it shine. Another nice thing about it is that its not good-old Ferrari red but Rosso Rubino (I think that's right), so just a bit different. After a quick check over to make sure the belts were ok and nothing was about to fall off, we took her down through France to the classic race meeting at Angouleme in September and did 1000 miles. A fitting start to an enjoyable ownership.

The Ferrari stays on the road, but the Caterham 7 goes to the track!

    Enjoy the pics

    Paul

first of all thank you for the pictures

second of all i really like that car. the colour is just incredible, furthermore it's a pleasure to see an europeen version of the 308 gtb. you can hardly find any 308 gtb. as a matter of fact you find a lot of 308 gts.

    thank you very much

Hey, thanks for the pics of the (other) blue Daytona. that's great !

I think Noony is right - the one in Germany looks darker than mine.

Mine was originally blue metallic Dino, but not sure if it still is. It has tan carpets, not blue.

There are at least two other Blue & Tan Daytonas in the UK - one run as part of the UK importer's press fleet... (which they tell me does 2000 miles a year and is 'bullet-proof' !)

I think originally they all had the leather sleeve over the gate, but a lot of cars - including mine - have had them removed.

    Thanks again, John

Hehe, thanks. Im serious though. 450 bhp on pump gas, close to 600 on 116 octane, and its not a drag car.

    Nice, very nice.

One of my friends sent his car into Cobb Tuning to get a wide body kit and a bigger turbo and intercooler which is said to have 450HP on pump gas.

I checked out the Cobb Tuning website, but they only list much lower HP packages. (bleow 300HP at Stage 1 and Stage 2) Do you know how much these performance mods cost your friend? Is Cobb Tuning the best out there? Thanks.

I didn't use Cobb Tuning. I have a turbo from Forced Performance and the rest of the parts are from different companies.
