I think that this was the link allan posted a couple weeks back. If it is, the modded Busa's and the ZX12R were much quicker. The Viper barely beat a standard Busa..

I'm not into bikes, but after that video I'm beginning to believe there's nothing you can build that will both outdrag AND outrun a bike...

I'm not sure a McLaren would do any better...

Now that I've given it some thought, I guess an all around bike-beater is a possibility. It's not that the Viper isn't making enough horsepower, it's that it's A: too heavy, and B: not nearly aerodynamic enough. Even a fully decked out Viper isn't a pig though.

You'd have to start with something that is already lightweight and lighten it further. But it's got to be slick too, and easy to modify. I'd imagine it's cheaper (and probably easier) to build a 900hp Viper than a 900hp McLaren.

Get the horsepower/weight ratio as close to the bikes as possible, lighten the car, tune the aero parts (wings, body kit). First car that comes to mind is a 911TT...

That Viper would destroy a Mclaren F1.

I remember reading about a pair of McLaren F1s that were custom ordered for either the Royal family of Saudi Arabia, or the Sultan of Bruenei and his brother, where McLaren basically modded the two cars to have a fully linked 2-way comm system as well as some other cutesy bits.

But the best mod was the older brother's car which was fully setup by the factory in a twin-turbo configuration of the BMW engine, making approximately 900HP to the crank.
