Hello! Info on seat restoration

Hi, just thought I'd say hello as I'm fairly new on here. I've just bought an '83 308 QV, which is generally in great condition apart from fairly tatty seats. On the drivers side the piping is starting to wear through and there's a fair bit of wear generally. Also the passenger seat is starting to get a bit hard and grainy (if that makes any sense). Anyone know of any good restoration techniques? Oh, it's in Crema by the way.
