    ON THURS OF LAST WEEK I CALLED GUS...CO OWNER OF TECHNIK 1 AND ASKED IF HE WOULD BE ABLE TO DO MY 2 CARS IN NJ...I LIVE 2 HOURS AWAY FROM HIS SHOP LOCATION AND I KNOW SATURDAY IS A BUSY DAY FOR HIM IN THE CITY DOING MANY WASH AND DRY CARS. HE SAID "I DONT THINK IT IS A PROBLEM BUT LET ME CHECK WITH MY BROTHER".

    WITHIN 10 MINS LATER,THE PHONE RANG AND HE KINDLY RESPONDED "ILL BE THERE BRUCE"

    I SAID WOW...HE CAME ON SATURDAY WITH 2 OF HIS HELPERS AND WORKED ON BOTH CARS ALL DAY....THE TR LOOKED LIKE NEW FROM 1988 AND MY WIFES XFIRE LOOKED LIKE IT JUST LEFT DETROIT..

    I WAS AMAZED AT THE JOB HE AND HIS GUYS DID, HE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND A GREAT GUY..AS THEY WERE ABOUT FINISHED, MY MOTHER IN LAW PULLED UP IN HER HONDA ACCORD, AND ASKED GUS IF HE WOULD WASH AND WAX HER CAR ( I WAS TRYING TO GET BROWNY POINTS WITH THE MOTHER IN LAW) HE SAID...NO PROBLEM..

    ALL IN ALL, I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE JOB, HIS PROFESSIONALISM, AND HIS KIND ATTITUDE HE SHOWED ME THRU OUR BUSINESS VENTURE...

    Technik 1 did a great job on the cars. Fortunately I got to see the TR before our drive yesterday. We decided to take an alternate route that resembled Beirut and Bruce's car didn't quite make it back in one piece. He handled the situation better than anyone I could imagine though. I'm still laughing.

    That specific job was bundled in to a bunch of stuff they did (dent removal, 3M paint protection film, some electronics install work) so I don't know how it broke down, but maybe Gus can jump into this thread and give some ideas on pricing?

    Those pictures look spectacular enough for me to contemplate shipping my car out there for them to detail.....Anyone aware of companies around the Kansas City area that do this kind of work?

    I live in NYC and am in dire need of a nice car wash/detail.

    How much does Technik1 charge for a car wash? a car wash plus wax? and a full detail? and can I just drive my car there without an appointment and expect it to be done in an hour?

    And just in case anyone has any doubt about the QUALITY of Technik1's work, take a look at these...(taken in front of their shop on 29th street right after picking the car up from a complete wash/polish/wax detail)

    And yes, these pics are with the bumper, hood, fender ends "wrapped" in 3M paint film--it has its own sheen--virtually invisible. Can you see it?
