Buying a 1972 Dino 246GT shortly, sure seems vintage to me. :) How come 1969 is the "vintage" cutoff -- I'd think it'd be a rolling date, say, "30 years and older vehicles".

Don't feel bad, Scott. It's only on this site.

Everywhere in the real world, I think carbs are accepted as vintage!

A lot of historical rallies I've seen make the cutoff at '75, so you are in!

My '76, '77 308GTBs, sadly, are still "out"

even in the Belgian Ferrari Club, the 308 GT4 is the first vintage at this moment.....

It was a decision that we made as a group. 1969 marked a major change for Ferrari, being the year that Fiat acquired an interest in the company. Even so, I'm not sure that that has a whole lot to do with why we selected this year as a cut-off. Instead, I think that is has more to do with a change in the "flavor" of the cars that took place around this same time.

Personally, I feel that discussion of 365 GTs, Daytonas, and 206/246 Dinos is welcome in this section, as these cars were developed and introduced prior to 1970, regardless of the fact that production continued beyond that point.

Sounds good. Once I get my Dino I'll certainly be posting here!
