A friend of mine down in Florida sent this picture to me that he took the other day while driving in Sarasota. He was only able to take one picture of it. The car has dealer plates on it too.

It looks UGLY! almost like one of those Toyota or Honda thing that someone could only afford the Ferrari emblems and added them to this vehicle. This guy should be arrested and the vehicle should be confiscated and destroyed for this in my book...
Sorry for my spelling errors, no spell checker on F-Chat....

Comments??? Besides a lot of laughter, i'm still laughing.....

I wonder what posses someone to do that to there car. I hope Lamarossa gets on this thread so he can answer it to me. And I dont want any answers like "I just really like Ferraris but yet I can't afford one and so I had to do this" or "It's a tribute" I want real answers. I WANT THE TRUTH!!!

I think there's something there not telling us. Maybe Ferrari is paying them to advertise there name. I mean I know it would take lots of money for me to drive one of these POS cars.

I had one drive behind me in Holland today in Yellow/Black exterior. I think they are fun. You can rent one for 69 euros on Schiphol, Amsterdam from Sixt.

Florida has very lax importation rules. GUys have been importing Japanese Rx7s and Toyota Soarer twin turbos (LExus SC here) for a while and selling them with "registered" plates to unknowing victims. I do some importing on the side, and getting around the rules is very easy in Florida.

Also the smart cars should be coming here in about a year and half according to Mercedes Officials from the recent European car show shown on Speedchannel last week.

This is what happens when the car company hires those not quite honor student design engineers!! PURE UGLY. I personally think that anyone who puts any thing Ferrari on anything other than a Ferrari should be restricted to driving a 50cc Vespa for at least three lifetimes.

I think that's how they come out of the factory, though without the luggage rack.

There's a company here in the UK that puts one of the big bike engines in them. 185bhp or so and an awesome noise. They're meant to go quite well, but as they cost 18kGBP up for a used car and the conversion, it's way over priced.

Car's like this are a good idea in Europe, where we don't have masses of road space.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing - no offense - but it looks a bit too big to be a Smart roadster. You can't see it very well, but the right front quarter panel looks like it could be a Honda S2000...?
