To be honest no. In my mind it's the least of reasons to subscribe. We've had to set expectations with everyone that the subscribed forums shouldn't be used for most Ferrari topics that belong in public. I would say only 5% of posts in my mind I wish were public. For example, an ongoing "name this car" contest.

Otherwise, 95% of the posts are just serious users of FerrariChat.com that want to discuss basically what's going right and wrong with the community and how to improve it.

You would find out that the secret handshake is really a secret visit though. ;)

    Rob,

If I do not subscribe will I be able to:

    - Read posts?
    - Reply to posts?

While I enjoy this site as it helps my work day go faster ... still not sure about wanting to pay for the priviledge ... but I really want to see 0846 progress.

Actually, it's not even very "on going" due to a lack of participants. Rob, can we get this thread moved to the Vintage "Specific S/N" forum?

Reading posts will always be available to Non Subscribed Users. There may be a couple forums not readable.

Posting privlages haven't been determined. My guess is they won't be removed for quite awhile, if ever. Possible inbetween would be limited number of posts a day.

Have you applied for the consultants program?

I wish I was qualified. I have time, energy, dedication to this site, but feel that I have not been here long enough to apply.

I hate to loose longtime good users, but if you aren't an expert in something value adding to the community, aren't a moderator, aren't a sponsor, and you aren't willing to subscribe for ($50/7/12)= 60 cents a month. Then I ain't going to loose sleep over it. :)

Everyone will still be able to view the site though.
