    i tried repeatedly to track him down last year. no dice. he doesn't have a web site. at one point i had tracked an address in orange county down, but that was it.

    my understanding is that he got out of the car biz altogether, bought himself a sailboat and has been sailing around the world (or thereabouts) for quite some years now. but it's all conjecture.

    Hi William! As far as I know, Straman made his last conversion in mid-2000 (456 Convertible) and, just like Doody said, got into his boat and never returned ....
