The rear screen of my 360 Spider is slightly distorted (I guess being in roof down + over a hot engine has taken it's toll).. so I called Graypaul Ferrari to see how much a new one costs.. (are you sitting down ?)

    £900 + VAT

    Farkin heck !!!

So.. considering they just unzip + zip back in again, does anyone know of a company making aftermarket versions, or should I get into business knocking them out for £400 each ? Heck, they can only cost £20 to make, tops.

Might it be a warranty issue?

If not, I'd suggest any good hood trimmer could knock one out.

My 355 Spider had a related issue with dirt/scratches/warping. My dealer dude basically rubbed some kind of plastic cutter / cleaner over it - that took the top layer of grimy plastic off (or something) and now it looks a lot clearer, but not perfect. Somehow I don't notice the warping as much now it cleaner.

Worth a try if you find out what the cleaner was?

Scary. I hope you are able to have a patterned one made somewhere.

I think there is a wider issue here- I appreciate that Ferraris are expensive cars, and many parts are complex and/or high quality.

But a plastic rear screen, £900?????

We're not mugs, Ferrari are you listening?

I would be interested to hear Ferrari UK's justification for such a ludicrous price. Especially when it would appear to be entirely unfit for purpose!
