Congratulations Paul! I saw your car in person the other day while at the dealership. It is indeed gorgeous and I can't wait to go for a ride in that badboy. I've still yet to ride in a CS and am eager to.

Busy weekend, only got to drive the car for less than an hour yesterday, but wanted to post some impressions. I'm not going to go over the razor-sharp handling, the superb braking or the electric throttle response. Those were all expected. Now for the unexpected:

F1 transmission: First of all I am dyed in the wool manual transmission fan. If a 6-speed was available in the Stradale I would have gotten it. I had never driven an F1 car until yesterday. I was SHOCKED at how well it worked. Superb upshifts, seamless downshifts, perfect pick-up from a dead stop. Even the auto downshifts as you approach a stop light were undetectable. I tried different things in different situations, everything I did worked so well that within a few miles of driving I was converted. I was expecting to be mildly disappointed with the F1, now I think it is one of the best features on the car. A manual transmission would dilute the experience this car offers.

Ride: The 360 CS, in sport mode, rides BETTER than my 360 Spider did! That's right, better. The CS is more comfortable and day-to day usable than my 360 Spider ever was. This was another shocker! Even the ride in race mode was very acceptable, felt in-line with my Spider. I am NOT making this up! Also the car is not too loud at all unless you give it some boot and then it opens up and makes a wonderful noise. Perfect for day-to-day driving.

Will post more in a few days.

    Paul

I think that people who knock the F1 tranny really just don't appreciate how wonderful it is and that it does not dilute the essence of the car in the slightest. I totally agree with what you say.

Sounds like they have made some improvements over the standard 360. Most F1 owners report "glitches" that require some operating experience to minimize.

It's optional, it has a cd player and a subwoofer box. I believe it's called the Hi-Fi (not even close!) stereo option. It was around $2000, a rip-off but I just can't imagine a street car without a radio, even if I barely use it. As long as you're driving normally you can hear it.

Regarding the ride, I have found a couple of situations where it is a bit harsher than my 360 Spider was, mainly over broken up and frost heaved (?) concrete roads, but it is in no way objectionable.

    A few more pics:
