Many of you have requested this video. It is now available at: www.ferrarifrenchquarterclassic.com It is available on VHS and DVD. The DVD is superior and has bloopers, behind the scenes and hundreds of photos. There is a small charge which covers our copying and formatting costs. The video is really something very special. It is a very high production, Speedvision-type quality work. We hired a proffessional crew to shoot it, and they did a very good job an shooting some very "exciting" parts. Lots of in-car, outside shots at the track, helicopter views of the police escorts, and the ins and outs of the "Ferrari Parties" To put my lawyer hat on, let me please stress this disclaimer for those ordering this video. "All of the driving in the video took place on a closed course with professional drivers, under law enforcement supervision. And some of the street scenes are speed up for dramatic effect" Also, we are taking applications now for new guests. The applications can be found on the website.
John, Is the DVD the same price as the tape? I looked on the website but it doesn't specify. When sending the check should I include a note specifying for the DVD? Thanks and congrats once again on the whole event.
** The FERRARI FRENCH QTR video is without a doubt one of the finest arranged and produced automobile videos I have ever watched. The list goes on for 1oo's of miles of video too. I received my copy yesterday and have already watched it three times! If you have surround sound, it will blow you out of your seat. Joe did a very professional job. He is a good man to keep on the payroll. FAMILY MAN
Hi Guys, If you are going to order the video and want a DVD please include a note with your payment that you want the DVD as opposed to the tape. As posted on the FFQC website, the video is $19.95 + $5 S&H -- that is a total of $24.95. Please send your checks to this address: 741 St. Philip St. Suite 243 New Orleans LA 70116 We will soon be setting up a PayPal account to take online orders as well. The FFQC website is also being overhauled, and it will soon feature a segment about the video and even some video teasers from the movie! Please note that DVD orders should allow an extra week or so to ship as they are not yet back from the production house that handles duplication and printing. On another note, I would like to thank every one involved in the movie making process, especially John & Franco. They have been very gracious in allowing us to film the event, and we have done our best to pay them back for the opportunities they have given us. That being said, if you think the video from 2003 is good, I can assure you that your jaw will drop when you see what we have already begun work on for 2004! Cheers, Richard
Any chance the video will end up on Speed channel or such? Cant wait to get mine, and REALLY cant wait for the November and becoming a participant! Terry
Well, I guess we will have to ask them. Maybe we can give the commercial money to charity, but there may be some material that can not be broadcast. I'll see if I can make the contact. Kelly
I may have a contact at SPEED. A guy I work with is very close with those folks and travels with them to all of the big races. Let me now via pm if you want me to give him a call and see if I can help open some doors. I'm not exactly sure who he knows, but it might be worth the call. (another shameless self promotion to ensure my event application is accepted )
Richard, I have already sent you a check, will the DVD be on the way? I sent my check in a couple months ago, will the DVD be shipped to the address I provided? Thanks, Lee
Guys I sent my check in a few weeks ago and I made it to Balance Inc. as instructed, problem is that my wife does my book keeping and when the cancelled check came in i was immediately questioned about why I wrote a check to Balance Massage Service. You really need to change your endorsment stamp might raise a few eyebrows. Wade
Oh and I do not know if I would help because he really does not fool with programing, I know the owner of the Speed Channel, I am going to see him in a few days and would be happy to mention it to him if it would help. Wade
So, From my understanding the video and DVD are different, Right? If so, How do you order both and how much do you send? Rick
Guys, I realize everyone is on the edge of their seat about this. I apologize. I am working out some issues with the company that is producing the discs right now. We are making sure that the quality of the DVD version of the movie is extremely high. I refuse to accept anything sub-par and I am making sure that the final product is just like a DVD you would buy in a store. I know it seems pretty funny/odd that the last step is taking so long, but I refuse to rush this process -- put simply, I do not want to make months of preparation and editing look like crap because of poor packaging. I will be posting up a message here the instant that we have the discs in our hands. Thanks, Richard Thompson
No problem. I totally agree that quality should come first. We are all on the edge of our seats but I still replay memories in my head everyday of the event. Thanks for the reply. Matt
Hi gang, I am new to this list so I need some help! I traded my 328 for a 355CH and I can see that this car is a very different animal. No manuals or literature came with the car so I am looking to hook up with someone who also has one so I can get some pointers. Steve Bujenovic Baton Rouge, LA
Steve: Congrats!!! Very happy for you. I know you've beeen looking for some time. I will send you an invitation to this years French Quarter Classic. As your new car, its a very different animal! We will also have a class for the challenge cars at the track (I'm guessing there will be at least 10 challenge cars this year). John
That looks like the car Mike Grande was offering. LNS Motorcars? If so, ask Mike if he has any of the manuals in pdf form. I bought my car from him and I am sure he would be happy to help if he can.
Hot damn, I have really dropped the ball! I forgot to get back to you....sorry!!! I talked to Joe and he said the video would ship ~April 5th or 6th...that means early this week!
