A Ferrari Killer? Is there really one? Yes the 2005 Ford GT40...just look at it Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
They won't produce enough of them to matter, and selected dealers are gouging up to $110K surcharge from customers. Reminds me of when I bought my 25th Trans Am. All dealers were tacking on up to 15K surcharge. When I asked why, they said, "Because we can!" LOL! And they could, for about three months, then the interest was gone.
Let's see MSRP of $150K + $110K "dealer prep". I think I see a nice used 550 Barchetta or a low miles 360C or NGT for that money!
I don't think you realize that most people here don't care. Anyway, its not that hard to make the performance numbers this car does with such a stout engine. Do I want one? Yes Do I think it is comparable to a Ferrari? No way Apples and Oranges once again
Comparable to a ferrari yes it is...the interior is great...it even has a better engine and posts 500hp
That 360 came like that from the factory... Also, with your logic a $30,000 Factory Five Cobra Replica would be a Ferrari killer as well. The differences are tremendous
yes i know...but look at these stock specs... WHat is with, pardon my French, all these stupid threads about Ferrari killers and the doom and gloom Ferrari will be suffering. Do these posters not realize this is a Ferrari board? Or are they not able to read? I mean the new V10 M5 might be a Ferrari killer to, so what? For the 13289384723847238782047428374203847230th time, people don't buy Ferraris based on numbers alone! Is that so hard to comprehend? I mean there are 9 second honda's driven my Mr. Papadakis that are Ferrari killers, but at the end of the day they are still a honda! Do you guys who make such threads go on Honda boards and say "Look the new Enzo is a civic killer" or go on NSX boards and say "Look the Gt40 is an NSX killer" ? I just don't understand these threads. Do you think the Ferrari owners here are so narrow and close minded that they don't know other cars are faster out there, or that they don't read magazines? I got news for you, most Ferrari owners have a 600HP 911 turbo, or a Lambo or other cars in their garages. Even if they don't, they are not out parading around saying "Look my Ferrari is the fastest thing in the world, neener neener neener." Please give me a break! It is your money, go buy whatever you want. WHo cares. Buy whatever floats your boat, and stop gloating like a 15 year old bench racer at recess.
Go try to buy one! I know the owner of the Ford dealership in my town, I used to work there when I was sixteen! I'll bet he only gets one or two of these, and he has a brother. You figure it out. From the showroom floor into the garage! The car I posted is for sale today! In Autoweek. For cash.
I call em desktop racers. The 0-60 & 1/4 mile times = performance, not actual track time. Afterall, that's all you can compare on a desktop with zero experience.
