I've got a bad back and would like to get a little more padding/lumbar support in my 328. Has anyone ever attempted this? The seats are already so firm that I wonder if some extra material could be stuffed into the seat and lower back rest...

Why do you want to go through modifying leather seat? You can just buy those lumber support cushion or wedgey cushion for a bad back (sold in Sharper Image, Brookstone, Herrington, or even some office furniture stores, etc.) They are much cheaper, and won't hurt the value of your car, I think.

If it can be done right ... Aldens would be the ones to do it.
He is familiar and works with ferrari seats/interiors - 504-469-0527

They re-dyed my entire interior and tightened up/fixed my seats as well.

I would also like a little more cushion on the seat. I know these seats are firm, but after 18 years I'm sure the seats now have less spring and padding than they did from the factory.

I can't take the credit for the license plate. The previous owner had the same tag when it was registered in Mass. :)
